03/01/2022, I have visited this store several times, the first in November 2021. I was very impressed with all of the one of a kind handmade items from Africa, such as Keychains made from beads, baskets/bowls made from telephone wire (Zulu Wire Baskets) and Decorative Trees made from African Banana Fiber. Also many other recycled materials used to produce many other decorative and useful items. The owner Michelle Johnson and employee Billie Frier and Carol are wonderful, very helpful and informative with describing and explaining the merchandise in the store. The Bridge to Africa helps many people and families live better lives when their one of a kind handmade merchandise is purchased by consumers. I unexpectedly happened upon this store as I was waiting for a friend to sign some legal documents on the same block, and what a find! I do not like shopping in person, but I was so pleased with the ambiance, the customer service, and my purchases that I brought a friend the next day and REALLY went wild on early holiday shopping. I LOVE that this is a mission-based store, Fair Trade, and non-profit, because everything I buy gives back. And the inventory is SO unique, the artisans they support are so talented, I've gotten all one-of-a-kind gifts, including one for myself that was a true value for what went into it as skill and labor and materials! I will be back many times, I'm sure, and I heartily recommend putting this store on your list of FAVORITE GEMS...

Michelle, who runs the store is one of the most kind human being I’ve ever known. Instantly she makes you feel right at home when you walk in the store. Her team of volunteers all match her energy and love level and are all super helpful to me when I’m looking through the COUNTLESS beautiful fair trade items they have in store.

The store may be small, but there are so many great finds in here. PERFECT spot for any gifts you need for your favorite people during all the holidays!
