Lake Mirror — Attraction in Lakeland

Payer Force International of Lakeland Florida is there Praying from 10AM until 11AM or longer at times. We have been there for almost 19 months now. We are seeing lives changed and people touched by God, almost every week. It is in a Central hub of Lakeland. The Main Fire Station is right behind us. Then there is the Train and But Depot and the Police station not to far from us. Straight in front of us are the City Gates. A couple of blocks from us at twelve o' clock is City Hall. To our left is Florida Power and as we come onto the street that leads us to the park, we have the Second Appeals Court for Polk County. Lake Mirror is an absolute charm! Such a stunning area, there is a nice wide pathway that wraps all the way around the lake, and even steps right down to the water so you can sit and enjoy the view. It’s a most pleasant walk and probably not even a 1/3 as long as the Lake Hollingsworth path.

Tons of ducks and other birds to look at, as well as lots of pretty flowers and art at intervals all over. Plus, the lake is nestled right next to downtown Lakeland so you can literally walk over to the dozens of restaurants and fun places that are all right in the neighborhood. It has beautiful scenery if you look from far away. Once you start walking you see there is a lot of trash in the water all along the edges. The walking paths do not seem to be kept up. There was trash by the benches. A lot of homeless people sleeping on the benches. Also clothes randomly scattered through out the walk. There seemed to have been some event at some point because near the lakeland electric portion of it there was a lot of confetti still in the grass and in the water mixed in with the other trash. Along the walking path there was toothpicks and a lot of cigarette buds. It just seems more could be done to keep homeless out and the water and are clean for...
