United States Postal Service — Local services in Lakeland

Postal worker /mail delivery sucks. Packages show delivered to wrong zip but they have no idea where it ended up. Currently tracking 4 packages to be delivered today out on postal truck at 8:49 am, watched mail carrier drive right by didn't even open my mailbox or stop the truck (know it's my mail carrier because they drive half on the sidewalk to be closer to box). Super pissed these are my kids Christmas gifts and this is not ok. Update 04/2018 packages show delivered and the mail person didn't even bother coming down my road today. I was outside all afternoon and at the time it says package was delivered. Watched the mail truck turn around, without coming down the street, and head back for the day. Continue to receive packages and mail for other addresses, not even close to my address. I hand deliver, because I understand the frustration of not receiving my package. If stuff was being stolen I would just buy a secure box. Unfortunately it's all being mishandled by usps. Companies aren't going to keep resending packages and insurance isn't always available. Where's the negative rating this place so deserves? Got a card in my mail box of package no one was here to deliver to. Interesting as I waved hello to carrier, who waved back to me sitting on chair in driveway 15 feet from mailbox. Delivery was at 7 pm, post office is long closed. Call them the next morning, they have my package waiting for me on supervisor's desk, come and get it. I'm there to pick up package 45 minutes later. I am told it sat there too long and they returned it to sender in Pennsylvania. Utter incompetence, lay it at the feet of unqualified post master who just doesn't care and should NOT have this job they are being paid way too much for. Post master's bad attitude extends to supervisory management then to employees. Long list of bad reviews proves this. Won't get better, got no other choices when shipper will only use this NON service. But we can vent here. I ask most all my shippers to use any one else but P.O.. most do,...

I had an express delivery scheduled to be delivered today. I stayed in the house the whole day to receive the package. I never got the delivery to my front door. I have cameras in my house. I went to the mailbox and there was a notice of delivery. Was I supposed to wait for the package outside near the mailbox the whole day? What a waste of my time. I wasn’t even able to do an electronic signature. Next time please do your job and deliver the package to the front door. It will make a huge difference in the service. Now I need to either do a redelivery of the package (which I would not as I am not staying another day waiting for nothing) or do a pick up of the package directly to the postal service spending time and money in gasoline for something that was already paid for.
