South Vero Square — Local services in Lakewood Park

I have to admit that it is hard to get too excited about a parking lot and strip mall, and this one is about average. There are two great restaurants here to try (American Grill and Photastic). There is a very good Antique Mall here with bountiful fast food locations and a Publix anchor store. The parking lot could use a sidewalk extension from American Grill to the US 1 so that we do not have to walk on the road to get from parking lot to sidewalk. Otherwise the lot seems safe and the shops are worth a visit.

Finally, the Arcade scene here is pretty strong. Not my thing, but there are people fanning in and out of these places all day long (mostly to have a smoke). It seems depressing to me but maybe I’m missing out on the time of my life and I just...

Publix here is great for taking coupons. The bad part is lot of times the sale items are sold out so make sure to get rain check. China #1 - try the tofu (bean curd) with garlic sauce. Great stuff and it comes with stir fried veggies. Call ahead for quick pick up. McDonalds - The usual, nothing different. Wendy's - I find that drive through goes quicker than standing in line inside. Pizza Hut - the worst, one time they didn't even start making the pizza until i got there for pickup.. thats another 20 min making it total of 40 min. This place has everything. Big walls. A golf mural. Best Chinese in town. Parking lot with dueling burger joints. Recently a hospital was built next door. Sometimes there's even an Inflatable tube advertising a tax service. The north end has broken off from the Publix half and is going through weird periods where there'll be a nightclub that serves pizza or a indoor/outdoor antique flea market or stuff like that. It's a nice place for grocery shopping.
