Make It Lash Forever — Local services in Lakewood

While Make it Lash Forever, Anastasia and her team do an exceptional job with lashes, I'm unable to recommend them for their lack of care of their clients.

TLDR: while the team is good at what they do, especially when it comes to lashes, they do not display real genuine care for their clients in a business where relationships are likely to be built.

I was a client of Make it Lash Forever for YEARS! Sasha was an amazing technician. I loved her technique, her personality, her calming, relaxing presence and it was a real treat to get my lashes by her.

However, she left the studio and I bounced around to different technicians for a while. While they all really do a phenomenal job, when you are a client for years and you're laying on the table for 1 hour to 2.5 hours, the conversation can get rather personal (which is fine). Relationships are built, personal information is shared, stories, heartache, etc. Similar to getting your nails done by the same tech for years, a relationship is bound to happen.

As a client of 3+ years, I was getting my lashes done every 2-3 weeks on average and I was extremely regular as a client. On March 1st this year, I suffered a miscarriage of our second baby. It was heartbreaking. Well, if you know lashes, crying and getting your lashes wet is a no-no. They become badly formed, messy, it's hard to see and maintain and so on. Since I was devastated and crying so much, and I felt ugly due to some self-loathing after the miscarriage, I dedicated to get my lashes removed.

I texted my technician to explain why I needed my lashes removed and explained the miscarriage out of respect for her to make it clear, it wasn't the lashes themselves but was caused due to crying and self-loathing at the time of loss, that I needed them removed.

However, flash forward 6 months and not one word from the tech or the Make It Lash team. No checking even. No "we miss you". No general email campaign to say, "come back". NOTHING. Just dropped. Like I said, when you're laying on table for 1-2.5 hours at a time, you share things both ways, you build relationships and get close. After all that, years of being a client and building relationships, no follow up, checking in, or inviting me back after a horrific loss.

I have been going to make it Lash forever for a few months now and have had an overall decent experience. Other than the occasional last-minute cancellation by staff, or having to go back to get lashes fixed days after they were done because they missed a few spots, or always having to wait because they are always running late in between appointments, but I let it go because Sasha was an actual great employee. Over Christmas weekend I tested positive for Covid, and was sick as a dog and could not make my appointment the day after Christmas at 5 PM. I was asleep when my phone beeped and one of the employees STAS, reached out to me and told me that I had missed my appointment and that per their policy is that I would be charged the full amount for my appointment. Not to mention that I have had one of their employees cancel on me because she was sick in the past. Anyways, I explained the situation, in disbelief at the response I received. Other than the work of Sasha, I would HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! The owner is rude, the employees have zero personality, the location is less than desirable (they have to lock the doors after you walk in because of safety issues)!! Please save yourself the trouble, money, and personal safety, and go to a more reputable location.

UPDATE TO HER RESPONSE: I have never no call no showed, instead I have had one of her employees cancel on me while I was driving to the appointment. Sure, being a business owner, I have had to reschedule some appointments. I have found a new salon that does outstanding work. LADIES BEWARE OF THIS PLACE, THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICE, AND...

This is absolutely the hands down best lash salon I’ve ever been to.I’ve been to quite a few salons and all these girls are very professional very talented and very nice girls. I’ve had the pleasure of having the owner Anastasia do my lashes for 5 years I’ve also had Symonne do my lashes a few times and she is the sweetest most gentle thing she is very professional and and will not let you leave until you are absolutely satisfied with your lashes I get big dramatic lashes and I love them like that in both Symonne and Anastacia are such perfectionists that if they see even one of my real eyelashes that do not have a lash extension on they make me sit back down so I absolutely love this place I love these girls I would never go to another lash place I also have my 16-year-old daughter getting lash extensions now and the girls at Make It Lash Forever do my daughters I would trust nobody else to touch her lashes and what I love is my real lashes are still so long and so healthy so if you need a good lash place please go here I recommend them to everyone I get compliments on my eyelashes at least 5/6 times a day and I always tell them where I go the best lash...
