H-E-B — Local services in Lampasas

Ok this is kinda long but hope it helps someone, my daughter had a baby boy back in April and around may 1st we went in to fill her wic to get formula the doctor said we needed due to it not having milk base which was soy, reason for this was baby had a lot of gas and stuff. So excited about getting him the correct stuff the help him we got all that wic gave him for the month, so just the other day we were back at doctor's because his symptoms were no better actually got worse along with the gas and bloating he started having diarrhea after about day 2 on soy so when we took him back to doctor they changed formula again so another trip to wic to switch the remaining formula and to our surprise they found some of the formula we had gotten around the 1st was expired badly. So contacted the manufacturer and told them and they informed us that formula even a day past expiration losses the good stuff for the child and starts growing bacteria which will cause all the symptoms even diarrhea if the baby drinks it. And was informed that the formula should have been checked every month and almost impossible for it to expire if the checks are done. So we contacted the store and was told by the management there they only check theirs every 3 months and that it shouldn't hurt the baby even being expired. Needless to say we contacted corporate and told them and we are waiting now for any more information from them but the store did reach out to my daughter and I believe are giving her a $50 gift card. I have been shopping here for many years since buying a home here. Daytime employees are a bit nicer. The prices are constantly mis-marked or advertised wrong, including coupons of all kinds. When something is priced wrong they will not honor it. They will have a coupon for let's say $10 off $40 bucks, but they make the product $39.98 so you can't use the coupon! A woman Mngr. that works at night, makes sure she is very rude, nasty & superior to you! This woman gets a thrill by doing this, she literally took all my food from my cart & made me buy just 2 products instead of asking me if that's what I'd like to do -as the customer-! She smokes constantly, everytime I enter she's smoking & I have to inhale her second hand smoke! There is a Texas state law that says 15 feet away from an entrance to smoke! I've never called any of this out for fear of small town politics but this needs to be said. This woman wouldn't have a job if not for customers. I get way better customer service at the Walmart in town. It's a shame a paying customer has to shop elsewhere b/c a personnel, (night Mngr. at that) for H.E.B., seems soo happy to make...

I went to the HEB Bakery in Lampasas in person on Thursday, April 3, 2025 to order a German Chocolate Grooms cake for a wedding 2 days later (Saturday). I thought that by going in person and verifying the order there would be no problems…I was very wrong!!! My husband went to pick up the cake at the appointed time on Saturday morning and was told that they didn’t have an order for anyone under that name. He said there was, and asked her hto please go check again. The employee came back and apologized, they forgot about it!!!!! They asked for 15 minutes to get one ready so my husband decided to go to Walmart to get the rest of the items we still needed. When he got back a cake was ready but it was not German Chocolate, it was a chocolate cake with all chocolate icing and even the wording and the hearts on there were completely wrong. We ended up with a groom who tried to act like it was ok, but…. I am the stepmom to the bride and it was my job to get the cakes made and to the church on time!! I thought I could trust HEB but learned otherwise. Never...
