I took this course not knowing what I wanted to do as a career. I knew it was fast paced going into this. However, it definitely was a lot to take in especially within the limited time. Ms.K was absolutely amazing. Truthfully for me personally she was the best part of the entire MA program. She did what she could with what she had. She is an amazing hands on and encouraging teacher. I do think her having an aid of some sort to be able to help with the hands on labs would have gone along way for us students as well as herself. Having an extra pair of eyes and support. Unfortunately for the externship part of the course, I feel as if the ball had really been dropped by the administration. It was hard to get answers. We went months before hearing anything about placement even though I had been reaching out to places myself to help move the process along. Once I was placed I had been accepted into a chiropractic office. I made my concerns known however, nothing seemed to come of it. I don’t feel as if I learned anything we had practiced during the schooling. I finished my externship hours and I find it very difficult to find a place for employment because of lack of experience. All said and done I don’t think it was a waste. Ms. K still reaches out and continues to show her support. I hope she continues to grow and help other...
Read moreI recently completed the Phlebotomy Technician Program at CALRegional, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. The program is fast-paced—just 5 weeks—but incredibly thorough. It’s designed for busy adults, and the flexibility of weekday classes made it easy to fit into my life.
The instructors Silvestre Vasquez and Thelma Marroquin were knowledgeable, supportive, and truly invested in our success. They emphasized hands-on training, which helped me build confidence in capillary puncture, venipuncture, and other essential skills. I also appreciated that the program is approved by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), which means it meets the standards required for certification and employment.
One of the biggest advantages was the affordability. Compared to other programs I researched, CALRegional offers excellent value without compromising quality. Plus, they partner with local schools and colleges, so the learning environment feels professional and well-equipped.
If you're looking to jumpstart a career in healthcare, especially in phlebotomy, I highly recommend CALRegional. It’s a solid stepping stone into the medical field, and I felt well-prepared to enter the workforce...
Read moreJoining the CalRegional Clinical Medical Assistant Program was the best thing I could have ever done for my career moving forward. I've always wanted to be in the medical field, the opportunity presented it's self so I grabbed ahold of it and didn't let go. Our teacher Ms K is one of thee most passionate teachers' that I have ever met in my life. She wants each and every one of her students to succeed, there is NO negative talk in her class room. She has an enormous amount of knowledge and she loves to share it. Anytime I felt defeated or my day was not going good, she made it a point to set some time aside to see what the problem was and she fixed it every time. She's a wonderful person inside and out. I was truly blessed to have her as my teacher. The only thing I didn't like was that we had so many days off which was not Ms K's fault. Calregional is paired up with the school district and it is not good when we have a fast paced class to complete. It would be so much more beneficial to the future students if calregional was its own entity. Thank you Mrs K for all that you do for your students and then some. Thank you CalRegional for the...
