Outstanding vegan fast food! In general, I don’t miss eating fast food as a vegan. Part of the satisfaction in changing my diet was having fresh, low-fat meals that were minimally processed. But every once in a while, it is nice to get something that tastes kind of like the savory junk I ate as a teen. Bad Garden scratches that itch and then some. Unable to decide which sandwich to start with, I ordered three: the fried chicken, the Shroom doom burger, and the mushroom cheesesteak. The chicken sandwich had crispy, flavorful breading, and was juicy inside – as satisfying as anything Chick-fil-A serves up. The shroom doom burger – a mushroom quinoa patty they make in house — had melted orange “cheese” and a burger sauce that I could drink with a straw. It completely fooled my super picky youngest daughter, who was convinced it was a McDonald’s burger and ate half of it without batting an eye. My wife enjoyed the mushroom cheesesteak, but the vegan cheese on that was not as convincing as a traditional Philly cheesesteak. The mushrooms were nicely marinated and very crispy on the edges though, so the texture and flavor were on point in that department. As great as the food was, the milkshake was the absolute star of the meal. That strawberry milkshake was very likely the best milkshake I’ve had in my life, period. Not only was it flavored with plenty of actual puréed strawberries, but the overall consistency was smooth and creamy – not as thick as a frosty, but not runny like a Starbucks drink… Just the right consistency to take a slow drag through a straw. Everyone in my household was eager to take a turn, sipping up some of that luscious masterpiece. The space itself is rather small, but well lit. You can also eat outside if it’s nice, which I was lucky enough to do. The service was very friendly, and my food was prepared quickly and well. This is the perfect place to go if you’re a vegan looking to take a break from salads and smoothies for one meal. It’s also an excellent spot to bring your non-vegan friends – there’s no need to try to trick them into thinking it’s regular fast food, but if they are remotely open-minded about giving plant-based meals a shot, this would be an easy on-ramp for them.

First, I'm not vegan. I'm barely vegetarian. So this was a little stretch for me. I also didn't order properly. You need to unselect the toppings you don't want, but I thought i was selecting the ones i did... Oops. The cashier tried to help and asked if I really wanted only pickles, and she tried to fix it, but it still came with no sauce. Luckily, I ordered fries with bbq sauce so I just added that. I bet it's really tasty if you get it with house sauce like it was supposed to come. The fries were fine. Bbq was a little odd tasting.i would definitely come back again. They have a shroom burger which is the texture of a more traditional veggie burger... more soft, grains. Or you can get an impossible burger. I don't love impossible meat so this was a really great option for me. Thy also have chikn patties, abd I'm always a tad nervous to try fake meat but next time I might give it a go just to see. I also want to try the milk shake. Just need to be brave. My sister said to try chocolate first which is a good tip. So, take this with a grain of salt but if you want a vegan fast food joint, I'd give this a try!

Bad Garden Kitchen has dared to ask the question "What if Five Guys was vegan?" This is definitely not healthy vegan food, but rather represents American fast food cuisine without the exploitation of animals. The food was very tasty, portions were great, prices were surprisingly good. Two downsides- you had to order from a screen, so there was limited human interaction at the cafe. That being said, for a start up, I can understand taking that cost-saving step. Additionally, the food took longer to come out than I expected. About 15 minutes for a burger and fries. Considering this was their first week in business I won't hold it against them, but I hope they improve ticket times in the future.

This place is AMAZINGGGGGG!! I didn't get pics of the food because we INHALED it. My husband is the biggest carnivore and still loved everything. He got the impossible smoky bandit burger and stopped every few bites to gush how good it was and that he would never know it's not meat. He also got the chik'n tenders and dipped them in the BBQ and house sauces. He said if all vegetarian dishes were this delicious he'd go plant based in a heart beat! I got the mushroom cheesesteak in a lettuce wrap because of my gluten intolerance (I wanted those tenders SO BADLY lol) and slathered it in the house sauce (obsessed with this sauce). I also got a side of the fries which were PERFECT. Fantastic crunch, super fresh, great seasoning, just awesome. I also slammed those in the sauce. If it wasn't so busy we would have gotten a bunch more to go for later so we're just planning on coming back next week haha the owner stopped to chat with us a bit and he was very nice too, seems like just a chill, down to...
