I would give zero stars if that was an option. My husband bought the $45 VIP ticket, which included 5 wing sample tickets, and 2 drinks. There were only two booths who accepted the sample tickets, the rest did not. To be honest, the majority of the booths there didn’t even offer wings (they had ribs, pork, brisket, etc. All delicious offerings, but I feel like those booths shouldn’t outnumber the number of booths selling wings at a WING festival).
They had a grand total of maybe (MAYBE) 40 chairs and six tables for ALL of Adado River Front Park, so if you weren’t lucky enough to snag one of those spots, you had to attempt to eat wings standing up, which is super fun if you have children with you. There were more tables in the VIP section, but you couldn’t sit in there if you had children (which was also a nice surprise to us... after we bought the tickets).
When we finally managed to find a table, we had the pleasure of listening to a group do a mic check. Mind you, it was 3 in the afternoon. The gentleman said the “N-word” 12 times in a row for his mic check... at a family-friendly event in the middle of the afternoon. And the lady in charge is a hoot, who doesn’t accept even constructive concerns. I honestly wouldn’t come back if...
Read moreOne of the best events to take your family to, to end the summer vacations, they have great vendors entertainment and fun for your children. Priced Right it won't hurt your pockets, the entertainment is a plus but it's a chance to unite with other community members for the end of summer. When you really don't want to travel out of town and then hurry back for the beginning of the school year you can get your food and drink on have fun and then roll on home. I have to say it's been fun watching the community come together and love on each other and leave out without incident. Most other events I don't go to because it's not affordable for me, but the price is right and you have money leftover to purchase without feeling like you have to break the bank or some stay home. I encourage the community to keep supporting the cause it gets better every year!!! Get ready it's going down right here in your...
Read moreWhile this event is raising money for cancer survivors, I'm afraid I've developed some serious fatigue and am in a depressive state after waiting in line for 4 hours for my chicken wings. Also, my friend didn't get to compete in the chicken wing eating contest--which is quite disappointing. Also, I didn't get the amount of alcoholic beverages I thought I would. Also, there weren't any signs. Also, why wasn't there a timer in place for the contest? Also, they ran out of chicken wings. It was a chicken wing festival, yet, no one was eating chicken wings because there weren't any (at certain given times). We waited three hours for our chicken wings. Then we left immediately because it was 8:00 pm and it was ending. I was really excited about this friggen festival but now I have a bunch of soggy wings that are honestly,...
