If you thought you were just going to the Lansing Shuffle for a casual stroll and some food, think again! My girlfriend and I waltzed into Browndog Creamery’s stand, and our taste buds were immediately abducted by flavor aliens. The unique shakes? Let me tell you, they’re not just drinks; they’re magical potions that could convert even the staunchest of shake skeptics. One sip, and I felt like I was floating on a cloud of sweet delight. I half-expected fairy dust to sprinkle down as we savored the concoction!
Then, the ice cream—oh, the ice cream! With flavors that sounded like they were inspired by a mad scientist in an ice cream lab, we were in dessert heaven. I tried a scoop that tasted like a nostalgic childhood dream, bursting with flavors that made me question if I’d ever truly lived until that moment. It was a delightful chaos in a cup!
And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, in walks the burger—divine doesn’t even begin to describe it. Each bite was like a culinary hug, wrapping us in warmth and happiness. The fries? Oh boy, those fries were like little golden nuggets of joy that threw us off the rails with their crispy goodness. We were in a state of euphoria, overwhelmed yet exhilarated, as if we’d just discovered a hidden treasure chest filled with deliciousness!
Life as we knew it was turned upside down at Browndog during the Lansing Shuffle. I didn't know this flavor explosion was going to happen to us, and let me tell you, it was wildly exciting! If you haven’t experienced the wonder that is Browndog at the Shuffle, you’re missing out on a life-changing adventure in flavor. Get ready to have your...
Read moreVisited on a Saturday for lunch and ordered a basic cheeseburger. I will say, the burgers were more of a classic diner burger, not a smashburger. Also, the lettuce on the burger was chopped romaine instead of a leaf lettuce which threw me off. I feel like with a few adjustments they could improve a lot. For one, they offer like 3 or 4 strange french fry seasonings/styles when they should simply offer either classic fries with salt and pepper or a french fry with their house seasoning blend. The burger patty itself was great, but the bun was wider than the burger - would make more sense with an actual smashburger. Additionally, they advertise boozy shakes but you have to get your liquor from the bar, it’s not a great system. I think they should just offer shakes and have the bar advertise the ‘boozy’ addition. Otherwise a great burger and staff was very nice, took the time to explain the menu, and brought my food out directly to me since we sat right next to the booth. I totally ate the whole tray of food so although I have suggestions, it’s a filling lunch. They also offer ice cream and non-dairy ice cream options that my family...
Read moreThe shuffle in itself is a pretty interesting place with several restaurants around the boundary and a full-service bar as well. It would not be wrong to think of it as an upscale food court but also that would be completely and inadequate description. Brown dog at the shuffle had such a great selection that most of our group ended up with something from there. Our large group ended up being a confusing set of orders with more than one change and backtracking along the way, the person working with us had amazing patience and an excellent attitude throughout. There was excellent ice cream, with a subset of boozy shakes available, to double-decker burgers/impossible burgers and a variety of different delightful fries. They had several other selections, from Rubens to Nashville hot chicken so we will have to be going back several times to try all of those. Can absolutely recommend them to most anyone interested...
