Zee's Supermarket — Local services in Lansing

Great prices ! The owner is very friendly and I always get the best deal! I only buy one or two things here for our restaurant. My review will be based on that and the overall experience I have had since I started going. I have not had any store so far beat the prices for the produce I get here. The quality is above average not the best but not horrible. They do not have much staff being a small business owner my self I understand that keeping your payroll down for the first few years of business is very important. It must be ran by the owner and owners family until they start a consistent profit. Overall though the wait time is not bad at all , I usually have to have them go in the back to grab because I purchase cases at a time. I have been going to this market for years. The variety and pricing has always been amazing, with a variety of exotic / international produce, spices and other products that is hard to beat. Recently though the store is under new management and the changes are awesome. Every time my wife and I visit now it is new and improved. While still maintaining the farmers market vibe that has always made it so nice it is cleaner, brighter and modernized every time. The owner and staff at the store have always been wonderful serving an amazing variety of diversity in customers, and the owner is not only happy to answer any questions but to strive to fill any gaps in their products offered. The store carries a lot of ethnic foods that you won’t find elsewhere. I’m surprised at the wide variety of produce they carry considering this is not a large market. It doesn’t appear the place is that busy and I wish it was because it would help keep things fresher. Unfortunately due to the lack of demand some of the stuff doesn’t stay fresh, but it just depends on what your looking at. I was very happy to get a type of large avocado that you only see in Florida. They also have a nice selection of spices and ethnic dry goods.
