My husband, son and I went to the movies in las cruces tonight to watch Tomb Raider.. when we purchased our tickets, the lady at the counter asked if we wanted to sit in handicapped seating at the top. She had noticed my husband was in a wheelchair. We said yes that would be great.. when we went in and sat in the chairs at the top of the room, including my husband that transferred from his wheelchair to the theater seAts, a man came in and told us we were in his seats, they are assigned...I went out to talk to the man that takes the tickets and he said we have 1,2 and 4. Went back in got my husband back in his wheelchair only to find out chair number 2 was a space against the wall. No chair for my husband... he had to sit in his wheelchair for the whole movie.. We love our community and try our best to support each other in any way. Working with the corporate offices for Allen Theaters was not a pleasant experience. We reached out to ask if we could be sponsored for a non-profit organization. After submitting our request for support we didn't hear back from them and decided to visit their offices for further information. The lady at the front desk was not helpful and extremely rude. Arrived at Cineport 10 at 1035 doors locked, at 1040 a lady who is handicapped and had someone walking with her arrived. They had this poor lady standing out there until 1055 when they finally unlocked the doors! It's 1110 now and movie The Predator still hasn't started! As usual popcorn...
