My mother was in their care last year. They missed a uti and she went into septic shock and died from it. Whatâs worse is that the PA Brandy actually ordered a uti ten days before we found out she had gone septic but never followed through with it. While I dont know their situation now, they were very understaffed in the nursing department, and the nurses that were there did very little as far as patient care went. They seemed to have a lot of computer time. The CNAâs were not much better. They once left my mom sitting in her wheelchair for 9 hours straight without her call button. When someone came in to bring her food she asked if she could get back in bed and they said they would be right back. It wasnât until shift change that they finally put her back in her bed. Before she went to the hospital her clothes had not been changed for four days. The only positive thing I can say about this place is the physical therapy staff is outstanding. Reception was nice as well. But I would think twice putting my loved one here, especially if they are not self sufficient. We were there daily and noticed she wasnât right and kept asking after results only to be told her vitals are good and sheâs fine. We finally demanded they call an ambulance and they couldnât get a urine sample fast enough. She was pretty much non responsive by that time. Please, please do your research and make sure they are staffed properly and be diligent about their care if you are even slightly thinking of entrusting your loved one here. While my mom was elderly and had some challenges to overcome, she certainly did not deserve to suffer the way she did at the end because of the PA Brandy and the nursing staff not following through and not...
Read moreMy father was in and out of hospitals & rehabilitation centers after choosing to have knee reconstruction surgery. We chose Cascadia because of Renee-admissions who happened to be in one of the waiting rooms in the hospital. She never approached us with regard to the rehab, she only wished us well with our father, as he was very ill and near death. My family members and I were visibly upset by his illness and she brought comfort to us. Once able, my father was sent to Cascadia & the staff there was beyond exceptional. My father thrived I believe thanks to the kindness and support he received from all the employees there, the bistro staff, the front desk, the driver, the CNAs, nurses, OT, speech therapy, and the majority of PT, with the exception of one PT tech, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this facility. I'm giving a 4 start review only because of one person, otherwise I would give this place a 5-star review. It only takes one bad apple, but I can't say anything negative about the remaining wonderful people that serve their patients at this facility. I cannot thank all of you enough, there at Cascadia for the care and compassion you've shown my father and my family. You'll be forever in my heart. âĽď¸ Thank you so...
Read moreMy mom had to be placed there on 3 different occasions since July of 2024, she was just discharged from there last week after a week stay. We prefer this facility over any other facility in Las Cruces. Like any other facility they have good staff and not so good staff. LPN Michael and CNA Lisa are amazing staff. They treated my mom as if she was one of their family members with such care, kindness, respect and compassion. Iâm not gonna say any names and put others on blast but letâs just say some of the CNAs and another male RN need to find another career because you can tell they are just there for job security. Social Worker/ Case Management lady is worthless and not helpful at all. All 3 times my mom was at this facility was a horrible experience with her. She expects family of patients to do HER job. As a previous Quality Assurance Specialist myself I have to say her quality assurance is horrible and she shouldnât even be allowed to work as Social Services representative, she talks over people and doesnât even take the time to learn peoples names. I suggest you double, triple check everything that is supposed to be set up like home health before discharge. In my opinion she seems like she doesnât know what she is doing...
