RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN! After moving across the country we moved into our rental with main street renewal. Our hot water heater was broken. It took 2 weeks to get it fixed. After fighting with them they gave us a $200 credit. We couldn't shower, do laundry, or dishes for 2 weeks! and they acted like it wasn't a big deal and $200 was more than enough for what we delt with. We decided after several problems with main street to break our lease and move. When it came time to move out, we gave them a 30 day notice. I was advised by 3 different managers in writing that the property should of been listed the same day our notice was given but did nothing to have it listed. It took 35 days for them to list the property as available for a new tenant. We called several times a day for a month straight trying to reach a manager or supervisor to assist None were ever available. We sent email after email expressing our concerns with no response. We went as far as hiring an attorney to help us navigate the situation with them due to not receiving a response. We even found a new tenant to avoid loss of rent and they wouldn't even accept an application because the property wasn't "listed yet". We left the place cleaner than how we received it, so they purposely avoided moving someone in for weeks to make sure they could take our entire deposit. We were left with literally change from it, and it still took almost 2 months to receive. Their employees are rude, don't know what is going on, can never give a straight forward answer, and each one will tell you their opinion which none were ever correct in the information supplied. We were not the problem, the house we rented was filthy when we moved in, they do the cheapest repairs possible, their communication was awful, they are a large company only out to make money as fast as they can and it was very clear after talking with an attorney who read thru the contract. There is no physical office to go into, it is all online or over the phone with people out of the country. Good luck! Wish I would of read more reviews before choosing to...
Read moreNEVER RENT FROM MAIN STREET!!! I’m telling you now to run as fast as you can! I lived in a rental property under them for four years and they did NOTHING to help me out. The carpet always needed to be stretched out because it was loose and they made me pay $600 to get it done myself. Note they take FOREVER to even respond to an email. When my HVAC broke and wasn’t working in the summer my house was 90 degrees inside and they never responded to me. Then they told me the fastest they could get someone out to my house to repair it would take two weeks. Note I have two dogs that were dying from heat and so was I!!! I had to pay $500 to get it fixed myself and they DID NOT refund me! When i gave them my 30 day notice to vacate they told me that I didn’t put it in and they sent me an eviction letter saying I had to leave the property or go to court. Every time I contacted them a new representative would help me out and they had everything wrong in their system so none of them were ever any help. Then AFTER I’ve been moved out of the property literally for almost a whole month they send me another eviction notice! At this point it was just hilarious to me. They only gave me half of my security deposit back because they charged me for not steam cleaning the carpet or washing the walls. I didn’t leave the property in bad condition whatsoever. I patched up the holes where I had hung stuff up and even re painted the walls. I’m just glad I’m completely done dealing with this rental company. I highly recommend to not...
Read moreI moved in February 2022 after waiting two months for them to get the home move in ready. However when I moved in it was problem after problem after problem. There were holes in the wall kitchen/bathroom cabinets/drawer broken and badly chipped paint tile floor broken up bad plumbing ect. I put in SEVERAL work orders and it has taken them months to get any of the work orders done and they still haven't fixed them. I had to go 6 months without a bathroom door and 9 months with a broken molded dishwasher. I gave birth and almost died spending over two months in the hospital and fell behind in my rent for those two months. I received a 7 day notice on 12-19-22 to pay a past due of $1634 or to call to make a payment plan I called on 12-22-22 with $1400 of the $1634 and to get on a plan for the rest they denied my payment saying I was in eviction process and needed to pay $2800 a week later it went to $3600 mind you I've been sending emails about the credits they owe and everything last week they told me I was ok but on 1-18-23 I received a court order to vacate on 1-19-23 I came up with the payment so me and my kids won't be homeless again but they refuse to work with me and give me a second chance. They are wrongfully evicting me and they are heartless. They want the money but don't want to do the work or anything. What am I supposed to do now cause they won't even talk to me all I get is...
