Purchased shoes for my kids last year right before shut down due to the pandemic, they didnāt like them so they were never worn and they were put away and forgotten about. I found them this year with the receipt and all tags attached. I took them to do a return or exchange for what ever they could give me since I know itās been a year. The cashier Shandra at the customer service said thereās nothing she could do because they were from last year. I asked her if she could at least do a store credit for what ever they could I didnāt care because if I were to come in without a receipt, she would do it anyways and she said no because she already scanned the receipt. I asked her to please get her manager and she left mad and came back laughing⦠so professional. The manager came out And asked what she could do for me, and I told what happened when I purchased them, I said I understand you have a 90 return policy but if someone comes in without a receipt, they would give them a credit no questions asked. So basically I said, if someone stole something from your store, turned back around to return them, they would gladly give them merchandise credit, but because I was being honest and brought my receipt, they canāt do anything for me?? Does that sound right?? She said that the cameras already saw the receipt⦠what? I know the cameras only get checked when there is a theft issue so thatās not true. She then suggested to take them back to a super center and donāt show receipt and I could get more money for them⦠I am baffled. This encourages people that steal things. Thatās the real reason this store has everything locked down. Yet they still continue to lose thousands of dollars by allowing people without receipts to return or exchange stuff. It makes no sense. It makes no sense that a person without a receipt can get a credit, but a person with an old receipt gets turned away. Very smart. I would get it if it was a receipt for your daily toiletries and average daily things that can be found year round, but for things that you donāt normally carry and there is no way for someone to buy multiples and try to get money back⦠thatās just amazing logic. I spend hundreds of dollars at this store, I know one persons money means nothing to a corporate like this, but this is just amazing how customers service is really not customer service. Theyāre unprofessional to say the least. They will support the people stealing instead of their customers who actually purchase their products. Great Job Walmart Management and Shandra. You did...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNormally I post positive reviews of my experiences at diff venues I frequent daily ,yet this had to have been the absolute worst experience in the 1000+ Walmart visits I've had in my life . It was last night Aug 31st and it seemed there was some kind of "theft prevention" class or gathering going on as I was being bugged from the time I entered the store . "Can I help you with anything?" from a lady pushing a inventory (?) cart or whatever ,who before that made a few passes as I browsed other isles . There's these "red buttons" we are told to "push" "if we need assistance" ,and she wasn't offering assistance I'm certain , "Yes ! What is this? I don't know what I'm looking at anymore? Is this a bottle of grape juice? I just thanked her for offering and said no thankyou . I shopped around an hour neared the self checkout area and overheard some one playing a YouTube video or video podcast loudly about tackling and subduing shoplifters and I rounded the corner and couldnt pass the group of employees or whatever they were with walmart badges on in a huddle excitedly conversing about the video playing . I had to excuse myself to pass them to get to the checkout . Then after a flawless self checkout of approx $100 worth of items I attempted to leave the store and was immediately approached by an employee with a strange name tag something in the zodiac not sure exactly , inupper case "VIRGO" maybe idk . He actually blocked my way and stuck out his hand ,assuming he wanted receipt I asked "You want my receipt?" He nodded I complied . He proceeded to rescan my entire cart commenting twice about the chocolate and seemingly intent on finding an item that wasnt paid for . It was closing time ,very few customers and the whole time I shopped I was being watched especially when I scanned my items , The attendant was standing 2 feet away the whole time . I just don't understand what this was all about and nobody offered an apology .I just left with the impression I wasnt welcome there and who wouldn't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMyself & friend went in at 10 pm, by 10:15pm we had a good amount of clothes, after we played find the employee, she informed us the fitting rooms close at 10pm or 9:45, it depends? WT@? The store closes at midnight, she said that as if it made sense to her, I asked for the Mgr, which took 3 more employees, who clearly were waiting to watch him put me in my place. I asked if he couldn't make an exception and unlock we'd be 5 min or less, and also told him the employee this made sense to, was talking with 2 other employees. So now I've watched 2 employees doing nothing, now this request had attracted 3 additional employees-also doing nothing. His answer, of course-I don't make the rules. That was obvious from the moment he began speaking to me. Is this what Walmart wants? Manager's that don't know how to make judgement calls? Why are there no signs stating changing rooms are closed 2 hrs b4 store closes? You do the math, 5 employees, on the clock, doing nothing but listening to their leader tell (us-the customers, asking for an exception, as we were unaware of changing rooms being closed & had driven across town to purchase clothes) We were told u can get all of them & bring back the others. I said, how nice you willing to loan me clothes on good faith I'll return the others? No humor in this guy, which now, nor did I, only frustration for the obvious & also for my wasted breath as I pointed out that in the past 20+min his sales would have increased by $150, not including the employees he would have(hopefully)cut, since they were milking company time, doing nothing but listening to our entire interaction. Unprofessional, he should have handled that 3 mins in. I'd guess my comment won't affect, change anything, mgrs that can't, won't or aren't allowed to make decisions to fit specific situations shouldn't be called mgrs. Change to babysitter's. Walmart, I'd love to hear from you... no, I'm not...
