I am sorry we booked this hotel; there are plenty of other options in the Las Vegas area...I suggest going to those. Things started off roughly when I checked in and the front desk attendant tried to charge us a separate pet fee for each of our dogs. I had to pull up the hotel policies online and show her that it clearly said the pet charge was per room per night, $40 max. If you travel with pets, you know the difference between per pet and per room charges, and we used to stay exclusively at La Quinta when traveling with our dogs, so we know how to read the policies. She pressed the argument, and we went back and forth until she finally honored the policy stated on the website (but she was clear that she thought she was doing me a favor). I was told to park in back and use that entrance, but the door didn't work for us or the other person trying to get in at the same time (there was a sign on it), so we had to walk all the way around the property to the "side"door that is just behind the lobby (so the front, basically). We were given a third floor room, get up to it with the dogs, and the door won't open. Back we go to the lobby, only to be told we have to lift UP on the door handle because it's broken (would've been nice to have been told that to begin with, but I guess that was my penance for arguing the pet fee). The room was fine, but the sink didn't drain and was pretty nasty. No idea what came up in it while I was showering, but you can see it in the picture and it smelled like a water treatment plant. It was fairly clean, but for $123/night for the military rate on a Monday night? Not worth it (I booked it a cpl of weeks before, so it wasn't a last minute thing). The comforter had some spots on it (stains probably...just grey stuff, not blood, but still). We were put right at the end of the hall by the highway, so it was VERY loud (not the fault of the hotel, but keep it in mind if you need quiet to sleep). The location is good for travel, but not for peace and quiet. I didn't understand why we were put next to the busy highway when the hotel parking lot was maybe 1/4-1/3 full, but whatever... it's loud. I would recommend bringing your own pillows, also....ours were feather (not down, but the kind that poke you in the face all night) and not comfortable. We didn't eat breakfast (it was included) because we didn't have a good feeling about the hygiene based on the condition of the room. We were only there one night, so it did the job, but I wouldn't stay here again, nor would I recommend it. We have stayed at LQs across the country, and this is the first time we've had an issue with them not wanting to honor the policies posted on their own website. There are TONS of options in the area that also take pets...even if it's a farther from the main highway, I would recommend choosing one of them (especially at this price point....the room would have been $143 with the pet fee they wanted to charge me).

On the app and the website this hotel says they have free parking, but when you get there they charge you $10 for parking, classic bait and switch. Advertising free parking then charging for parking shouldn’t be allowed, what is advertised in your app and your website is what should be honored but apparently this hotel doesn’t feel the same way. I paid over $120 for this room for one night and they still have to charge for parking? This isn't downtown, this isn’t in a busy area, there’s no reason to charge for parking other than pure greed. My room had hair galore, both beds had hair, the floor had so much hair that hair was getting wrapped around my toes, the shower still had hair and the bathroom counters and toilet both had hair in and on them, it’s as if the room never got swept, wiped down or vacuumed. The TV is tiny and super far away from the beds so it makes it really hard to watch tv from the bed. Both beds had soda of coffee stains on the blankets, and the beds are basically on the floor they are so low to the ground. The lady who checked me in was condescending and rude, I brought up how everywhere it says free parking park and she said “yeah I know, we just started charging for overnight parking” I told her she should have someone fix that because it’s not fair to advertise free parking and have people expect free parking then charge them once they get there and have no other option, she told me that wasn’t job and she’s sure someone has looked into it. I will most likely not ever stay here again (unless it’s my only option) because paying for free parking (and everything else) left such a nasty taste in my mouth.

I stayed at this hotel from July 2-5, and here are a list of issues that I encountered and I will provide pictures. 1) at check in, the front desk wanted to charge $10 per day for parking although the website offers free parking. After I address this concern, the clerk waived the $10 per day fee. 2) when I get to room 418, the room is dirty, they have a 28 or 32-in tv with Dish cable that is not ready to watch. I requested that maintenance fix the issue and Xavier did. The cable network only offers Netflix streaming app and I was not able to sign in due to an error message. 3) The closet door is uneven and does not close easily. Also, the door and shelf is visibly dirty. 4) the light above the bathroom mirror was not working. The tub wall tile and tub was dirty. 5) the dresser/tv stand has six drawers but only four in use and there is a handle missing off one with visible scratches. 6) there are visible dirt and defects throughout the entire room. The maintenance guys JeMarcus and Xavier fixed the lighting and replaced the Dish Network cable box. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to any family members or colleagues.

Used Priceline’s option “We pick 1 of these 3” to book 2 hotel rooms in the Summerlin Area of Las Vegas for 2 nights (9/30/22-10/2/22). I was looking forward to it because I had stayed in a LaQuinta before and had a good experience. We arrived around 9 PM and were checked in without any issues. We were given the first and last rooms on the first floor hallway. The carpet in the hallway was really dirty but I thought that because it was a Friday night, there had been a lot of people walking through. I got my mother settled in her room and then went to my room. My room had an adjoining room and I could hear the television playing really loudly through the inside door. I wondered why we weren’t given these adjoining rooms as the reservations were made together. Maybe it had to do with making the reservation through Priceline? I went into my bathroom and was immediately overwhelmed by the smell of mold and mildew. It was a handicapped bathroom with a dark line of black mold going around the bottom edge of the tiled wall and under the shower seat, as well as along the edge of the seat. It looked like this room had not been cleaned in months! I took some photos and went to the front desk where the receptionist told me there was only 1 open room left in the hotel. He gave me the key to check it out. The bathroom in this room had a white tub that was so worn in one ~6” spot that it had spots of black and rust. Since there was no mold smell, I took the room. I didn’t have any other options. The receptionist told me that he would give me a $25 credit and that I should call Priceline to confirm during business hours. I went to my new room and opened the refrigerator to find that it was full. It had not been cleaned out from the last person. There was a half of a subway sandwich, remnants of a loaf of bread, a bottle of mustard, an apple and 3 half drunk bottles of water. The floor was not vacuumed, the paint on the bathroom door was peeling, and the white walls were really dirty. Discovered something gross on the side of the toilet that hadn’t been cleaned (really hoping it was shampoo or lotion). I thought that the room would at least be cleaned the next day. But the next day, after a long day outside the room, I came back to find the carpet in the hallway still dirty and my room exactly how I had left it. I asked the front desk about it and was told that room cleaning needs to be requested. Why hadn’t he mentioned that when we checked in? A picture is worth a thousand words and the pictures show how bad the housekeeping is at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Las Vegas Summerlin Tech. I’ve stayed in at least 20 different hotels and casinos in Las Vegas and never seen a place as gross as this. Does this represent the Wyndham brand? I called Priceline and they had no record of the $25 credit I was promised. Priceline called the hotel and were unable to get an answer. I am awaiting resolution.

Update: I was given a full refund...

This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I'm from CA and I've stayed at LaQuinta numerous times. This by far was the worst experience at LaQuinta or any other hotel. When I arrived, how dirty the carpet is. When I got to my room (the room I paid over $400 for) I noticed the TV was not working and the bathroom sink was clogged. It wouldn't drain. I called the front desk at least seven times and the front desk staff would not pick up the phone. Because of my long drive from CA, I was too exhausted to walk down stairs and advise the front desk. So I waited until the morning and notify the morning staff of the issue.

The front staff advised me that maintenance what arrive at 12:00 p.m. and she will let them know.

Because we were celebratin my son's birthday I gave the okay for maintenance to enter the room without us being there.

Here's where things got really crazy. When we return to our room we noticed that the television had been fixed however the bathroom sink was still full of water. I called downstairs to the front desk and requested that maintenance come fix the sink. The front staff was surprised that maintenance did not fix the sink on their first trip up to our room so she sent him again.

When Johnny, the maintenance staff member came to our room for the second time, after finally fixing the sink he asked me is the air conditioner working properly (I thought that was a weird question based on the fact that he wasn't there for the air and the air conditioner was on and working). I told him yes and he then took it upon himself to adjust the thermostat and pour a solution in the air conditioner. I was very uncomfortable as it seemed he was thinking of a reason to linger in my room. After pouring the solution in the air conditioner, Johnny proceeded to leave my room. However before walking out of the door he turns to me and said, "ma'am I just want to let you know that when my supervisor and I were up here in your room earlier, I'm the one who fixed your TV and my supervisor said it smells like weed in here. At that point I was extremely insulted as I told Johnny, your supervisor did not smell weed in here. Johnny insisted he did.

I repeated to johnny, your supervisor did not smell weed in my room. Again he insisted that he did.

I told Johnny I will tell your supervisor to his face that he did not smell weed in my room.

I reported the incident to Daniel, the supervisor/manager, who back Johnny. I could not believe what was happening. Daniel insisted he smelled weed in my room and he stated, Johnny , the maintenance staff, did nothing wrong by confronting me about. I could not believe it. I will be reaching out to...
