OUR Personal opinion? resort was nice-our room was perfect. the pool was great and overlooking the Colorado River makes this very friendly family stay-vacay. Boat rides, bowling, movies, concerts. Although, the time we were there just trying to win a little to keep playing, someone won the 1.3 million jackpot on "Moola" and the machines locked down without anyone winning after that for at least three days. Everyone I spoke to said they couldn't win enough to continue playing even just a little. Some said they had to leave early since they couldn't win anything at all and went through $$ so fast they couldn't complete their booked hotel time. From the slots to the tables to all the other gaming, no one reported winning. I spoke to many on the elevators, near the rooms, at the pizza eatery and at the Mexican restaurant-no one could win anything. We all, friends and family alike may try some of the other casinos to stay at next time. We always get a comp-maybe Edgewater? My family are stellar gamblers but do spend a fortune gambling here and Vegas-maybe we'll hit Vegas-IDK, it may be better than trying to win anything here. The Riverside rooms are nice as pointed out and the Riverside Restaurant is nice, little grouchy with the regs they are but they have work with gamblers so (?) Some can be demanding and rude...I get it. Btw the worst experience I had was with security. Cameron C. was an absolute jerk. I caught him in at least 3 lies when I asked him to check the lost and found for some pricey sunglasses my family mbr thought she left on the slots. He literally lied to me stating I would have to wait until Monday, Lost and found was closed. Then I went to the player's club and the Supervisor there escorted me over to the cage for lost and founds, stating that doesn't sound right. Cameron C was over there again and noticing I had engaged another was clearly angry. Then he stated he was just far too busy-he had more important things to take care of, then that changed to he was in the middle of something. But he just continued to stand around for about 15 minutes laughing with other staff. As he noticed me standing there he asked the brand of the glasses for which I said I wasn't sure they were branded. He asked me how in the world he would identify them. I asked If I could see them, for which he rudely said, " No I just can't let you take someone else's glasses." I told him, we had our own money and didn't have a need to steal anyone else's. He asked "Well how am I supposed to know which ones are your family members?" I told him I could describe them. He said no that isn't gonna work. I said I could draw you a pic of them-they are very unique for which he laughed. He said your family member will have to come the next day and bring her id. LOL another staff member told me that wasn't true either. We went across the street and purchased another set. BUT just for info-this is why casinos hire sworn peace officers and not casino security. He was a liar, unethical, condescending not general public or senior friendly-not in the least. Arrogant, I cannot understand what exactly the casino pays him to do since he doesn't want to seemingly do anything. I watched for about 30 minutes he wasted more time on the job than what it would seem he was worth. No where near what I would think you would hire. The job applicant pool must be drained as this was scraping the bottom of the barrel to hire this...
Read moreI’ve been eating, and playing at this casino for over 25yrs. My wife and I sold our California home as well as our Bullhead city home by the airport and now travel in a bus, however, homebase is on the river the only time I’ve taken advantage of any.comps, was for a few breakfasts and I normally don’t always have the card when I play. However I lost $5000 two nights in a row a few years back on and off I’ve won a little and lost more when my wife and I once went to the gourmet room they could not get us in and we’re very obtuse about it. So we went to the Edgewater to the Stockman’s Steakhouse which is far Superior to the gourmet room, food wise and service wise, and treated us like we were royalty. So this evening they have some VIP Polynesian dinner which if you’ve been to Hawaii it’s not much of a dinner however we had good friends that my wife likes my wife has memory issues and I’ve been playing there quite often when Don was alive it was a better place then. Now his son tiny has taken over and if you are a player, you don’t want to come to this casino? They’re looking for the small player, who are small minded who carry their little card around as if it’s gold. If you want to be treated well and you wanna play for a lot without being bothered to always have your card or have them make you one go to the Edgewater. If they know your face they’ll treat you right at this place since Don died they treat everybody the same like garbage. So I will show up if someone wants to take us there. I’ll never spend a dime there again. Their people are like robots, if you’re 60 years old, someone will still ID you as they don’t allow them to use their brain. And they’re very woke! Whoever the woman was, I spoke to at Jack King or King jacks was just another obtuse witch. I guess the family has taken they’re inheritance from grandpa, and they don’t worry about whether they tank the business or not Michael Mitsch Players card# 1279047.. I took 20 min to find this card number they live by. I asked for one favor! One! And I wanted one pay for our dinner! However, ineptitude is sealed in cement… It’s full of oxygen tanks and one arm bandits pullers, and they could care less who you are or how much you spend. Dodge this Casino if you can… we...
Read moreRented two rooms, one room smelled of sewer. They sent maintenance men, who failed to make notes the first day. My elderly Mom didn’t want to tell us her room still wreaked. The next day, we complained again, and again they sent maintenance. At this point I feel they should have just switched her room, but they didn’t. It took complaining again, and asking directly for a room switch, which the manager was hesitant. Meanwhile, we had some issues with our room as well. Our deadbolt was non functioning the entire stay. Beds are rock hard, and there’s a light sheet for a bedspread, there was also a clicking noise that was unrelenting all night long coming from a room nearby. To be fair, we didn’t complain about the noise, we were more concerned with the sewer smell issue. The manager said we could settle things financially the day of checkout. They were only willing to discount resort fees on one room. There was no budging. No other offers were made to make things right. Very disappointing customer service. Felt like a big screw you.
The good; to be fair, rooms were clean, the view was nice, but other properties in Laughlin can offer the same. I’d avoid this place if you enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep and expect Vegas level customer service. This hotel leaves a lot to be desired and management and staff need more training on...
