My family and I wanted to have dinner before going to our room for the night. We came in from a long drive since we were on a road trip. The line to get in I did no think was bad. The woman who showed us to the table assisted with my moms request since she is disabled. The food was okay, but they did not have too many options. What really bothered us was that we found the staff being rude to another handicapped person who brought in their service dogs. The staff let them pay, then come in to eat, and then all of a sudden made them leave. The girl with the handicapped woman seemed to be just a teenager. She was sitting there alone and they were completely avoiding her and ignoring her. She just wanted to order the drinks THEY PAYED for and get them to go since they were being told to get out. My mom and I heard this happening and then we asked a staff member if they could help the girl. The lady went to try and get someone but was pulled away by another lady. This lady told her to ignore them and do not talk to them because of the dogs? I am unsure of all the details. Something about the dog nipping the waitress? But my family of 3 were sitting right next to them and saw the entire encounter. The dogs were under the table as they requested. The dogs were not being loud or disruptive to my table or any of the others. We never saw the waitress go near their table after seating them. Just heard her talking smack to the other workers, and then involving the managers. We left before the people with the dogs so I do not know what happened after that. We were just disgusted at how a young woman was being treated, without anyone seeing what she was even asking. The drinks they...
Read moreGreat Food, Great Value and Great River View This restaurant is located inside the Riverside Hotel and Casino on the Colorado River. Great view of the river if you dine in daylight. This is not a fancy place to eat so no worries about how you're dressed. My wife ordered the Bay Shrimp Cocktail ($8.25) with a side of Potato Salad ($3.50). I ordered the Western Bacon Cheeseburger ($13.50) which included fries. My wife loved her Shrimp Cocktail! Loaded with tasty shrimp piled high, zippy cocktail sauce with just the right amount of horseradish, and a sprinkling of diced celery. Her potato salad was nothing special, but was a nice side to the shrimp. The burger was fantastic. This is every bit of one half pound. I asked for medium rare and it was spot on. Cooked on a flat top with crispy top and bottom and warm pink inside. Perfect! At least two slices of thick cut bacon, the usual onion, lettuce and tomato, 2 slices of cheese and an onion ring. The beef flavor of the burger was one of the best I've had and I have burgers pretty often. The fries were pretty standard, nothing noteworthy. Open early and late. You'll like this place.
Update 3-29-23 We visited this restaurant again. My wife had the Denver Omelettte ($13.95) and I had the Cobb Salad ($13.50). The omellete is big with no shortage of diced ham, cheese, bell peppers and onion. Served with crispy hash browns and my wife's favorite marble rye toast. The salad had a plentiful amount of diced turkey, bacon, tomato, avocado, black olives, bleu cheese and hard boiled eggs, sitting atop a bed of crispy greens. I opted for a flavorful Italian dressing, served on the side. Two people could easily share both of...
Read moreI've eaten at this restaurant before covid hit and it was magnificent. I return 4 days ago after taking my mother and I we both are sick like dogs from food poisoning. She just ordered split pea ham soup only, which I did as well and ordered fish and chip's. Eduardo came to our table and we ordered. The moment he left my mother called it and said our dinner is going to be horrible for the night, because she has had his service once before and it was a horrible experience. We both should have done ourselves a favor at that moment and just left. So not only is it a fight to get a refills on our drinks, but the soup came to us Luke warm almost cold and my fish and chip's well the fries were cold ordered side of vegetables were frozen still and the fish wasn't fried it was boiled in watery grease. I understand businesses are hurting and trying to recover from the Pandemic, but when you start to put your customers health at risk to try to save a buck or not change out the oil in the fryer. They stuck the vegetables in the microwave. I used to work at a 5* resort in the kitchen and honestly Mr. LAUGHLIN would be ashamed of this when I say save your money and go eat at McDonald's it'll taste better and not put your health at risk. FYI the soup what made us sick and they must be recycling their soups longer than should be ex:7+ days if they only serve it on Wednesday it's exactly what is happening. My apologies Mr LAUGHLIN I will probably never eat here again may you...
