They didn't read the design notes done by the fabricator on the specs of my kitchen thoroughly and drilled the faucet holes so close to the sink it was nearly impossible to tighten the faucet to the countertop because the screws/walnuts were overlapping on the sink lip. The manager even came to my house and admitted it could've been drilled further back.
Spent 5 days without sink/dishwasher as they tried to come up with a solution that I was happy with that didn't involve cutting into my sink (which was made of fireclay) or making the faucet holes bigger (which would be visible from the top). They didn't want to eat the cost of replacing the countertop nor claim accountability that somewhere along the way someone made a mistake. When they did the installation 2 of my outlets in the kitchen stopped working after they left and when I called them back to ask them to fix it, they said they didn't do anything to it but this was not true because it was working before they came and they tripped my oven turning it off, so we had to turn it back on in the breaker box.
When the manager came to assess my kitchen on whether they needed to remake it he told me he would bring it up to his boss and i'd get an answer by the end of day. I never got an answer and had to chase them for a follow up the next day.
I did end up keeping the countertop because they were miraculously able to install the faucet, but had to shave down a walnut to get the side spray to fit. It didn't sit right with me that this was the solution, but it was clear to me they were unwilling to change the countertop for negligence on their part. Manager told me these were the standard drill holes they always did, but had they read the notes on my sink specs, perhaps they'd know the standard drill hole wouldn't have worked.
You can see in my photos how close the hole is to the sink and the spec notes included that it does list my sink and faucet model, and the dimensions of the sink in the countertop.
It was incredibly stressful dealing with this because I paid $3.5k to trust that they were providing an exceptional service and knowing they had good google reviews. This was...
Read moreFantastic experience with this company, in particular our sales rep Clayton. We visited at least 9 fabricators, granite manufacturers, and other contractors before settling on Classic. So thankful we did. We had a particular slab of granite in mind, that seemed to be very difficult to find and upon visiting Classic they did not have it in their warehouse. From what we understood, they used mostly their own slabs, but still we told Clayton about the slabs we wanted and where we had seen them. We visited Classic and 7 other fabricators on a Saturday, requesting pricing from each of them. On Monday morning Clayton had sent us an estimate for the slabs we wanted, from a manufacturer that his company didn't typically deal with. He was the first one to email us the estimate that day and amazingly he had the best pricing. We decided after painstaking discussions that we were going to go for it. He kept us informed the entire process and patiently addressed all of our concerns ...of which there were many. The gentleman who came out to template was efficient and took a great deal of time to ask the right questions and make sure the measurements were precise. Then came the layout. We had very specific requests to have a seamless countertop. Clayton again worked with us to help us get what we wanted and was forthcoming at every step of the process. The week after that the countertops were installed. The crew that came to install was professional, organized and cleaned up afterwards. When having work like this done in your home, it's a big investment of time and money; having confidence in the company that is doing the work is (for me) paramount. I would recommend them to anyone. Clayton was the epitome of professional and he went above and beyond during the entire process. We couldn't be happier with how the countertops turned out. The entire process took two weeks from our fist visit, to installation....
Read moreThis company is horrendous, they don't communicate and can't be trusted to execute anything other than perhaps a very straightforward project. I had selected a very specific piece of marble for my island countertop, and specified both verbally and in writing at least a dozen times that I wanted that particular piece with its unique veining. I paid quite a bit more than I was initially planning for counters because I fell in love with this specific slab - it was going to be the most unique and beautiful feature of the house and I felt that it was worth it. Despite EXTENSIVE communication from me and the designer (and multiple assurances that the desired section was being reserved), I found out a few days before scheduled installation that they had cut up that section to use elsewhere.
After speaking to the manager Cindy, I got a corporate scripted apology and what sounds like questionable retroactive CYA-type nonsense about that section having a scratch that would have rendered it unusable. There was no scratch when I saw the marble in person, or in any of the photos that I took when I visited. Possible that it occurred later, but I was being reassured for WEEKS that the piece I wanted was reserved, and only found out it was gone days before the installation. I was crushed - I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.
In addition to this, they accidentally released my marble slabs back into inventory at one point (I only found out because I randomly went to visit, otherwise they could have been sold without me ever knowing). There's no communication between team members, the senior people work remotely and clearly couldn't care less. Do yourself a favor and purchase from a business that actually has functional lines of communication and can accommodate simple and...
