This place is disgusting. I drove all the way from Ellicott City because Iām pregnant. I was craving mofongo. So when we first walked in the waitress told us to have a seat wherever we wanted. So we sat at the only booth they have. Soon as we sat down ants š started coming out on the table, the menus and even on my kids. So we moved immediately. No more ants thankfully. So we ordered Shirley temples to drink. No one at the bar knew what that was.(sprite and grenadine) so then we just ordered juice. They only have 1 dish that sells mofongo. But itās pork. The pork they served was hard as rocks and cold. They told me I couldnāt order mofongo on the side so I had to order pork with my food just to order the mofongo. Not only that. The food took an hour. There were 2 other tables there that already ate. They were in the kitchen joking around making a bunch of noise. . Then they had the audacity to serve us cold ass food. The mofongo was hard and old. The snapper was old and seemed like they refried it. Pretty much sold Us old food. I had to send my sons fried cheese back. They also have the worse nachos in history. We had to order hot water because the utensils were filthy. My kids and I will never come back to this place. It needs to be cleaned thoroughly and new management. Now today I am sick to my stomach. DO NOT GO THERE. I spent $80.00 for food I could have gotten out the trash on a hot summer day for free. Iām...
Read moreThis was the first time my fiancé and I went to this restaurant. The decor was a little dated but a great local spot for some home style Dominican food. Great flavor, generous size pound the service was great also a full size bar in the back of the restaurant. This may be our local hang out spot. Definitely will be back
UPDATE** 8/21/2020 My fiancĆ© and I went back with our youngest son who was in the mood for a burrito and he wanted to go somewhere else but we convinced him that Cazabe was amazing, after the restaurant seemed to start getting some momentum back and what a disappointment. We ordered nachos which showed up with no cheese or Pico de Gallo so we asked to have some have some cheese and the waitress brought us some cold canned cheese and we asked about the pico and she said they didnāt have any, we also ordered a frozen watermelon margarita which tasted like a slushee with no alcohol. Not sure what happened but a turn for the worse. Not sure if we will be back. Not for awhile at least. With so many other Hispanic options in the area we will go somewhere else. We will always support small businesses over chain restaurants but this was truly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm from Pa and was visiting the area from the holiday weekend when I got hungry googled this restaurant. I viewed the menu and decided that I'd go there and order the salmon and yellow rice - priced $12.95 . When we got there - practically empty place (two patrons), we were handed a menu, displaying the same price. The woman asked if we wanted another beverage because what we wanted (from the menu), they didn't have it. So, we asked to sample the tamarind drink (which was very tart - too much lemon). We didn't like it. I ordered the food to go and sat and waited. When the woman brought the food, I gave her my card and she charged me $16.01 for the food ($14.95 plus tax). I showed her the price on the menu and online and asked how come I was overcharged? She went for the manager, who came to tell me that the prices on the food are subject to change at any time. I told him that if that's the case, he shouldn't advertise a set price for food on the menu. The manager would not honor the advertised price. I feel that this place is horrible for business and I would never refer anyone to patronize this...
