Pizzeria Santa Lucia — Restaurant in Laurel

While at work I called to place a order for delivery. The first person to answer the phone passed the phone to who I later found out was the owner. He ask me my phone number and I gave it to him. Then he asked was this a business or a home. I said to him I'm at work so it would be a business. He then said you're being smart and hung up on me. Then I call back and asked to speak to a manager and that's when I found out that the person who hung up on me was not just the manager but also the owner. I asked why did you hang up on me and he said that I was being a a..hole. I said I don't know what I did except try to place a order. He then said don't call back or I will call the police. So I went to the location. I know that sometimes people might be intimidated by me or maybe 🤔 the color of my skin 🤔which really shouldn't have anything to do with it. However when I arrived at the store I asked to speak to the owner and he the owner said wait,walked out of the door and came back and said I refuse to serve you and you need to leave. Never will I ever go or recommend this location for any food service. This place is absolutely hot garbage. Ordered a sub and fries online got there early obviously not expecting to be done. In saying that I ordered online at 1158 am and didn't get my food untill 1230 pm. Obviously I didn't have time to eat it and had to throw it in the fridge at work. Had they been busy I would have understood however they were not busy and now I see why. I use to go to this place all the time 20 plus years ago and it was a great spot to get lunch. Whatever has changed was for the worst. Two people working lunch rush don't work for getting orders out fast. Steer clear as a lunch spot cause there ability to get that job done in time for you to have the ability for you to eat what was ordered in a timely fashion isn't there. I don't write reviews ever but I'd like to save other from going hungry for lunch waisting time going there. There are plenty of other options in there area that can get the job done and still give you time to eat what was ordered. Place has definitely changed...

My wife and I used to love this place but after tonight's experience I will not order from here again. My wife ordered through a third party delivery service and after delivery we realized one item was missing so she called the restaurant to inquire. What could have been a completely reasonable and calm request to discuss with that third party, since that is how the order was placed, turned into yelling at my wife that he gave them the food and we need to call them which brought her to tears. I'm assuming she spoke to the owner based on some of the other reviews indicating how rudely he treats customers. Had he not berated my wife that it is not his problem and instead calmly instructed us to resolve with the delivery company this would have been a completely different story however the way we have been treated is completely unacceptable so we will not support this...
