I recently visited a food truck that offered a delightful culinary experience, with the food being cooked right in front of us. As an Afro-Latina fluent in Spanish, I appreciated the authenticity and flavor of the dishes, which were prepared with care and skill. The ordering process involved receiving a ticket number, which was called out when the food was ready. However, my experience took an unexpected turn when I realized I hadn’t been given a number. Upon asking about it, the lady working there responded with an attitude, assuring me she knew my order and it would be ready soon. Unfortunately, her demeanor was less than welcoming, and she proceeded to comment to her coworker about my inquiry, assuming I wouldn’t understand since it was in Spanish. While the food itself was enjoyable and met my expectations, the customer service left much to be desired. It’s important for businesses to maintain professionalism and respect towards all customers, regardless of assumptions about language comprehension. Despite the unpleasant interaction, I chose not to make a scene and thanked them for the food once it was ready. Overall, while the culinary aspect of the food truck was commendable, the experience was marred by unprofessional behavior. I hope they can improve their customer service to match the quality...
Read moreGreat tacos!! Visited a few taco trucks in the area to be disappointed that they had no outdoor seating , which is ok if the tacos are awesome and a good price, but don’t even want to try them cuz they were charging $4 per taco, and seemed like they decided on the price when they saw us walk up, so naw - pass. But this place has legit good street tacos! Pricing on the menu. They don’t skimp on the carne (in gringa terms ‘the meat’) tacos come with your traditional cilantro and onions , lime wedges, radishes salsas red and verde and a nice treat of cucumber slices. The al pastor was my favorite with the chunks of pineapple in it. Really good! Would have given 5 stars but the carnitas fell just a lil short of juicy and flavorful so that’s the reason for 4 and not 5 but definitely the best taco truck in the area. Great prices for tacos. Outdoor seating area. Decent amount of parking. Fast and friendly taco truck. Solid place. Won’t be...
Read moreI went out to pick up lunch to take back to the office and I'm not sure what happened to this food truck (on the corner of Gilford and Rt 1 (Washington Blvd)) but things have significantly gone down hill. I ordered the enchiladas - a particular favorite of mine here - and what I got was tiny tortillas wrapped around maybe a tablespoon's worth of chicken. For the rice and beans, you'd be lucky to get four solid bites of both before you were finished. Then the shredded lettuce they added was some ridiculous soup that flooded the whole bottom of the container with lettuce water. I can't imagine the prices of everything have gone up so much to cause this horror. Once you tilted the container so all the liquid pooled into one end, the food still tasted decent so it wasn't a complete wreck. But I certainly won't be thinking of this place for lunch anytime soon. I'm wondering how badly they've...
