Because I’m pretty sure they gave me a fake name please know the women with a nasty mole on her face should be fired. had asked to place two separate orders and the lady told they only take one order per car. When I asked for clarification she couldn’t give a straight answer and proceeded to advise me to get back in line after I place the first order. This is the drive thru btw!! I asked for two separate sauces with my order and she told me I could only have one. When I came to the window the lady was rude didn’t greet me just told me my total and I paid. She gave me my food and the food was not fresh, it was cold and disgusting. I ask if they could give me fresh food and she refused and said they were about to close which was a lie because they didn’t close for another 3 hours. So you mean to tell me you gonna charge people $20 for a meal and serve them food that has been sitting for 3 hours ??? She continued to go back and forth with me so I recorded her. I asked for a manager and with the manger right next to her the employee told me the manager did not want to speak to me and ultimately refused to let me speak to a manager and the manager did nothing about it. The employee then slammed the window on me and refused to give me a refund. I wait at the window for nearly 20 minutes while their staff proceed to talk about me in the back. They held up the line and even told customer to come inside even though the doors were locked instead of giving me my money back. When I came around front to get my refund the employee with the mic on ignored me and slammed the door in my face. I simply asked to speak to a manager to remedy my situation and they refused how does and employee have more authority than a manager. And how are you a manager and don’t step in in a situation like this ????? I am disgusted by the service. This establishment is rude and clearly racist as I went to another Popeyes right after this it was a later time not only did they let me place a separate order they gave me multiple sauces AND HOT FOOD at 11:30. Read moreI'm frequent at Popeyes but it was my first time at this location, 8520 Washington Blvd Jessup, MD, due to my error on location when placing my order via the app. I initially went to the location closer to my house and they said the order wasn't there and said to check the location again. I realized it was at another location about 15 minutes away. I tried calling the restaurant to ask them to not start the order until I get there or place it in the warmer because I was at the wrong location, no answer. I traveled to the correct location and my food was sitting on top of a shelf bagged and ready to go, so I explained the situation to the staff and they retrieved the manager, who then shared he was the GM, so I shared with him the issue and ask if the food could be replaced he said no along with telling me it's not their issue that I placed at the wrong location. Which I agreed and still wanted the order but asking that the food be replaced since it's been sitting and not in a warmer. After he said no again that he couldn't help me. I asked for a refund and he said that he couldn't do that in the store since it was an app order and they aren't connected to the app, ok fine, so I then asked if he was able to walk me through the process on the app and he said he didn't know how. It was one of the worst experiences to simply replace the order seeing nothing but fresh chicken lol sitting and available. The GM's name is Misael after I asked for his info and he scribbled it twice on receipt paper. It was like he was giving me an autograph smh. I did contact customer service via the app for a refund so waiting on a response.

Read moreI have been here twice now since it opened a few weeks ago. The food is delicious but there's a lot of room for improvement with customer service and presentation. Things seem very rushed and disorganized. My order today was messed up (was supposed to get spicy but got regular) AND incomplete (I ordered an extra biscuit and it wasn't put in the bag). This was even after the cashier tried to tell the back what was correct though he himself seemed uncertain about things. If he was new and training, there wasn't anyone with him at the register to help him. The menu is jam packed into a compact space making it excessively difficult to quickly compare options and make a selection. The food is also quite pricey for a fast food joint if you don't have a coupon or get one of the few deals. Portions also aren't comparable across sides. Order fries and you get a TON of them. Order green beans and you get this teeny tiny container with maybe a 1/4 cup of the side in it (including all the liquid it sits in).
A kids meal includes only one leg OR tender, a side, and a soda for $4.49!!!! It's an outrageous price for such a small meal and no alternative beverage options (it's soda, tap water, or nothing). I wanted to order a kids meal for my toddler but the price and lack of options made me choose not to. Oh and it's an extra dollar if you want to add a biscuit.... At that rate you may as well get your kid a regular adult meal.
Overall, not great first impressions. Three stars mainly because the food is good. Though we don't eat out a lot, luckily there's a Royal Farms with great fried chicken next door to this Popeyes if that's what...
