Absolutely disappointed. Beautiful facility, nice people, but no glasses. I spent $504 on glasses (my cost after insurance) that broke, so I took them in and a man, who was not normally in the office but was there that day, fixed them. The next day they broke again so I took them back, and that was three weeks ago. The glasses are under warranty, but you wouldn’t believe the hassle it’s been to get them, a replacement for them, or my money back. “The person you need to speak to isn’t here until Thursday but I will have her call you.” No call back. I called again, “We are just really short-staffed, but I’ll have someone call you.” No call. Finally someone did call but she got my situation mixed up with someone else’s. She told me, “I left a message for you that your lenses were ready,” I explained that I didn’t order any lenses. My husband called the next day and was told there was no management person he could speak to, all were in surgery. Finally, someone called and said, “those frames are back ordered and they come from Italy, and we don’t know when they will be in.” Folks, that’s not my problem. Not being able to see is my problem. I want my money back but they’re not talking about that option. In fact, they won’t even talk to me. I’m ready to call the BBB and then head to Walmart for glasses.
UPDATE: After SIX weeks of no glasses and filing a complaint with the BBB, they gave me my out-of-pocket money back. I went to Walmart and got their most expensive glasses, plus a pair of readers, for less money than what I paid for the one pair of glasses at the Ga Center for Sight. Just wanted...
Read moreI didn’t see Dr. Dong As I had hoped. I saw the Optometrist. She must be a recent Graduate as her bedside manner was less than warm and congenial. Her assistant acted like she’d rather be anywhere else in the entire world and the last thing she wanted to do was talk to a patient with questions. She rushed me through her list of questions and She wouldn’t even look at me until I insisted she answer my question and then she finally turned around and looked at me with an exasperated look on her face like I was Interrupting her very important work typing On her little computer. She must’ve poured half a bottle of eyedrops in my eyes, both times, So much, so The drops overflowed my eyes and ran down my face. Now I have to get a second opinion and pay for a second opinion because the prescription for glasses that this optometrist wrote was so different from what the ophthalmologist wrote last year I don’t trust it, even though she said there was only a very slight change in my eyes from last year. I felt like I was rushed through By a young optometrist and her assistant who would rather have been anywhere else in the entire world than treating patients. No wonder I was able to get an appointment so fast. I’m sure I am not The only one Who has been unhappy with...
Read moreMy experience continues to find problems with my care. Primarily this is due to the taciturn Doctor, who parcels out critical info like it costs him, to staff who shuffle patients from place to place, never explaining anything (because they do not know or they just fade out instead of getting an answer, usually responding to questions with no response or 'talk to doctor,' who I just left. Not even apologizing when it was revealed my diagnosis should have resulted in key info being discussed and action taken back months ago, such as Take this Vitamin as it may prevent further degeneration. The funniest and saddest was when I was with Dr and assistant was trying to derive the numbers for use in ordering and setting up prescriptions for reading and computer glasses...she allowed after several false starts her math skills as well as understanding of what she was doing, were low. Your office needs a medical continuity nurse to follow up with all patients first to explain how your exam and prescriptions work, how they result in different uses for eyewear, and to be careful as they are brutally expensive even with insurance. Thank...
