BBQ Barn — Restaurant in Lavonia

I picked up BBQ Barn for my family this afternoon and it was delicious! I spent some of the morning watching Man Fire Food and was hungry for some really good BBQ. I had never eaten at BBQ Barn before and it was delicious! We tried their brisket, ribs, beans, potato salad, stew and slaw. The ribs were very tasty and fall-off-the-bone tender. The brisket was very tender, smokey and moist. The beans were my favorite of the sides. I tried the beans and potato salad and they were delicious. My family liked their sides too! I tried their mild BBQ sauce on the side. It was pretty good! My father-in-law made homemade BBQ sauce and that is the bar from which I measure BBQ sauce. It's a really high (and probably unfair) bar! I thought the price was reasonable and the staff was friendly! The pit was right there and in use and it smelled wonderful and made me feel good about my decision to try this place. I tried them out on my way to visit a meadery. I got the BBQ sandwich plate with stew, Cole slaw, chips and a soda. It's kind of a weird set up as there's one window that serves drive through and walk ups. There was a long wait when I got there but after the hold up order it flowed quickly. The young lady working the window was smiling and moved with a sense of purpose.

The sandwich was ok. The hot sauce did have pepper but it was far from hot. The stew was really tasty but the consistency was like they dropped the meat and ingredients in a food processor and pulsed them to the consistency of semi mush. It did have a good flavor but would have been better served over rice...

my friend and i got two large bbq sandwiches, two sides of coleslaw, and a side of potato salad for like $16. the service was super quick, they accept cards, and the food was excellent. i got my sandwich hot and it delivered. i definitely recommend getting a side of coleslaw with it to taper down the heat. the sandwich has a really good smokey flavor and isn’t dry. the cole slaw has a good vinegar base and was very refreshing. 10/10 recommend. also you might go past it cause it kinda looks run down and you could miss it driving past, but i like the charm it has. my friend who got potato salad is picky about it and said the one she got here was...
