Much needed establishment! Tired of BBQ, fake Italian, and overpriced "country" food in Lavonia. It's clear they've done their homework. We came on a Monday as guinea pigs for our group of friends. Great day to come and glad their open.

I had the Italian Roast Beef sandwich, which came with a rich Au Jus broth, pickle, spicy peppers, and potato chips (kettle, methinks). Very tasty, and I'll get it again (once I've gone through the menu). I paired this with a Coffee Stout, which complimented the rich beefy broth.

My wife had the Margherita flatbread, with pesto, cheese and tomato (UPDATE 8/24: they no longer have flatbread which is a shame, so downgraded food rating). Of course, to do the review justice, I had to try it myself, and it was good as well, although she said she would've liked it cooked longer. She had the Cabernet wine, which went well with the tomato.

*UPDATE: Came again on Wednesday for the live music and this time has a Spicy Brat on a pretzel roll (for the money, I expected a larger roll). This time my wife had the Caesar salad, which she really liked. Same beer and wine as last time. Good music on the "jukebox" (not really a jukebox, but a music channel) and live music on the weekends and Wednesday. Really comfortable place, and not like anything in the area. Spacious and nicely put together. Voices echo a bit, so sometimes hard to hear conversation, but we be drinkin' and eatin', not a lot of talkin'.

Free Wi-Fi for those lacking conversational skills.

I'll update this review if anything changes,...

Was staying in the area this past weekend with my family for our annual fall festival in nearby Westminster, SC. I had found GBC online prior to our arrival on Friday and had great expectations. Needless to say they were exceeded!!! We strolled in on a Friday late afternoon with a 3.5 year old and 3 month old in a stroller to a bar full of locals and was immediately greeted and made to feel welcome. Adam was amazing off the bat with a juice box for my daughter. His IPA was amazing, every food item we ordered was delicious but the hospitality is was what stood out. He made us feel like friends and family and showed genuine interest and appreciation in our patronage. The lady and I are both food and bev veterans and appreciate good service. We left thoroughly impressed!!! So impressed that we found ourselves back for dinner Saturday night. Strolled up again on a Saturday night - kids in tow - right in the middle of college football - and was welcomed back in by Adam before we got to the door! And once again our experience was world class. I live a few hours from Lavonia but I have a feeling we will be back!! If you are in the area and appreciate great beer, food and most of all friendly service then this place should be on the top...

My family and I stopped in for lunch on our way through Lavonia. We live nearby and are happy to say this was our best lunch experience in the Tricounty area. The food is fresh and served quickly! Adam, the owner, is quick to strike a conversation and genuine. Hard to find anywhere that pays attention to quality, service, and atmosphere. Not to mention the beer, my wife and I both had his Flagship IPA. I have all sorts of IPA beers from breweries...this one is delightfully clean and crisp, with a light bitterness and a proper blend of exceptional hops! This family owned business is super friendly with all types of games for you and your kids to enjoy. We highly recommend the beer, the food, and...

Gumlog Brewing Company is everything great about breweries! Super friendly owner, tons of locals, and a great mojo along with awesome food and beer. The brewery is pretty new so they’re ramping up on their own ‘on tap’ offerings, but in the meantime they still have plenty of awesome guest taps as well. The in-house IPA is great, which I had a few times along with the guest tap hazy IPA and a rye squared beer by Terrapin. The pretzel is awesome as well! The place also has an arcade game, darts, water station, and TouchTunes. Best spot in downtown Lavonia!

1-29-24 Monday 4:30 p.m. party of two. It's a seat yourself establishment, but we were very pleasantly greeted as we entered. They have a decent selection of drinks, ales, and beers. We had the Italian Roast Beef sandwich. Sadly, at the time, they were out of the pretzels. The only slightly disappointing aspect was that we sat with empty glasses for quite a bit, and as they weren't busy at the time, I wonder how the service would be with a crowd. We will definitely try them again.
