Absolutely satisfied with service and price. This is not my first time having to deal with lice. My older daughter had lice when she was in junior high, she's now 23 and has been lice free. I'll be honest that first time was stressful and I had severe anxiety. We also had our service done with another shop. Here we are 9 years later and my younger daughter 12 and also in junior high has/had a egg infestation. Looked up the name of the other shop and first thing to pop up was My Hair Helpers. What caught my eye was how late their services went to. 11:30pm, called the number and Amy picked up, she is also the owner. She made everything so simple and easy. No stress or anxiety at all this time. We were in today and Marisol was our Hair Helper. Thankfully I am good, and within 30-45 minutes we were done and my daughter feels so relieved. Not only was the service and treatment outstanding. The cost was so reasonable. Security deposit went toward end cost. Absolutely the best service. Right on time. I am an owner of a preschool located in Venice, we had a few cases of lice at the school. I came in to the Salon in Lawndale, in the Southbay area to get my hair checked. The salon was very clean and bright and cheerful. I was greeted by the owner, Amy Chinian and her technician Diana Martinez. Diana was the one who gently went through my hair looking for the little buggers and Amy answered all of my questions. Luckily I was Lice free but as a preschool owner who has had lice 3 times, this was one of the best experiences I have had with someone combing through my hair. Through the process I asked Amy if she trains teachers to look for lice, which be useful and she literally had Diana use her camera and video the process of how to look for lice, what combs to use and what lice looks like and sent them to my phone, so I can put it together for my teachers and parents without any extra charge. I can't say enough about how good my experience was and how available Amy makes herself to her clients. Her technicians will come to your home and your school and the prices are reasonable. My Hair Helpers was the most efficient and pleasant experience for such a stressful situation to find yourself in. I called on a Sunday morning at 8AM and a technician came at 10AM. The technician was so lovely. She checked my family of 4, treated myself and my 5 year old daughter, and was out within 2 hours. And since then I’ve called back , being a paranoid mother that the lice is still lurking around. I called at 8:30PM at night and I told the woman answering the phone that I couldn’t believe she picked up the phone so late in the night and she told me “oh ya well lice don’t sleep.” That is some top tier customer service. And then she gave me the owner’s number, told me to text her photos and she’ll tell me if it’s lice. I did that and the owner got back to me immediately. I was kind of blown away. Here I am, a month later writing a review bc I just texted the owner again bc I felt like my son was scratching. It’s 10PM on a Saturday, and she responded immediately. And we’re still lice free.
