Well this is gonna be a long one so strap inâŚ
Iâm not gonna mention any staff members by name, because weâve dealt with multiple, including management, and there is really no difference between all of them.
I spent thousands on an engagement ring for my fiance at this location, even paid extra for a platinum setting, which is allegedly more durable. Initial purchase, while I eventually came to find out when comparing this to friends rings is heinously overpriced, went fine. Then, the diamond went loose and we needed it resized. So we went back to get it fixed. Shortly after getting it back, the diamond completely fell out. (Luckily she retrieved the diamond) This began a months long saga of getting this ring fixed. Every time we got the ring back the setting was either completely crooked, bent, turned, off-centered, etc. and we had to keep sending it back out to the âmaster jewelerâ without even leaving the store with it (I use quotes because i really donât believe the jeweler this location uses is a master by any stretch of the imagination.) One of the times my fiance tried picking up her ring, it was crooked to the naked eye, hardly requiring even a hard look. Well, to add insult to injury, the salesperson takes out a magnifier to then look for the issue which was clear as day, to the point that even in a cell phone picture you could see how badly bent it was. This was insulting. Finally, after 8-9 times, we have had enough. We ended up having them find the original jeweler that set our first ring because it was initially beautiful. They found him at the King of Prussia store, leading us to drive well over an hour to find out from this jeweler (the competent one) that not a single person at the Quakerbridge store location cared to notice that the complete wrong head had been used. Even the jeweler at the King of Prussia location was surprised. He said âeverything about this ring is wrong.â
Let me just say: John, the jeweler at the King of Prussia location, did a phenomenal job and none of this review is targeted at him or anybody at that location. To him I would give 5 stars.
While the salesperson at Quakerbridge claims âIâll make it up to you.â I am sure they wonât. Theyâll find some sort of random discount or promotion and sell it to me that theyâre ânot supposed to do thisâ or helping me out greatly, or even that they have been losing a lot money to help us out. (That one was rich, a billion dollar corporation losing money, oh no!) One of the oldest sales tricks in the book I suppose. The store manager I would give a good acting review to because her acting skills were Broadway worthy, hugging my fiance and promising they would help. An outstanding performance in that regard, until I told her before they sent it out to King of Prussia that they need to figure this out on their end and she shot me a dirty sarcastic look and stormed off, one of those âyouâre being an annoying customerâ kind of smiles if you catch my drift. Well, forgive me for expecting better quality when I spent thousands in hard earned money on this and now I have a fiance that is upset because all she wants is to wear her ring at least for a little while before our one year anniversary of being engaged.
Thank you John at King of Prussia for being seemingly the only jeweler throughout this that actually cared enough, even personally calling me to keep me updated on the status throughout the process. When we need inspections, cleaning, resizing, etc. we will be making the 2 hour and 20 minute round trip to King of Prussia because John is the only person that should be trusted with jewelry.
Maybe try the King of Prussia location, but other than that, I would avoid the Quakerbridge store...
Read moreWhere do I start? Helzberg as a jewelry store in general all the way up to corporate is a mess. SAVE YOUR MONEY! If you pay in CASH you will be sent a Corporate CHECK. Not to mention, they only send checks out once a week, i found this little jewel of information by contacting someone on the website via live chat. It doesnât matter how small the purchase is either, for a $200 purchase with a receipt we were given the runaround.
If you use the LIVE CHAT, screenshot all of the messages for evidence. I was speaking with someone by the name of Ashley, who mentioned to me that I could Call around different stores to see if they had enough cash in the register to process the transaction. No big deal right? WRONG what she failed to mention to me is that by me doing this, the other stores would view this as âSUSPICIOUS.â I called The KOP location and they took down my name and number and I clarified My boyfriend made the purchase, I was Calling on his behalf because we didnât want to do any running around. Makes sense? Not to helzberg, apparently this company makes returning items extremely difficult. I mean Consumer protection states that if the refund policy on the receipt doesnât match the website itâs considered invalid. When my boyfriend made this purchase the sales associate at Helzberg in Quaker Bridge did not inform him that although he was paying cash itâll be a pain in the butt to do a return and get it back how he paid.
The store manager Name Melanie at KOP location finally calls me back and started interrogating me like I was Some criminal mastermind, she stated she looked up my number and name and saw that i donât have an account or purchase history. Strike 2 Helzberg, clearly associates donât communicate because i stated my boyfriend purchased the necklace. Melanie Started questioning me On how did I know About the information I was giving her because apparently me saying I had A live chat convo with someone from corporate wasnât enough. She then proceeded to talk in code like âeven if we had the money in the register, which we donât. I would still need Corporate to contact me so they can approve the return. But Iâm not saying we have the money though, just if we did. And we only have $75 in the register at a time.â She gave me her email and I had my boyfriend call corporate, who had us on hold for 45 minutes before they stated that they had called 4 different people to verify what we were saying was true. Mind you we gave them the order number and the information needed to look up the purchase. With a snobbish voice the corporate associate says âwell I was Trying to see if an exception could be made, I even got in touch with the district manager who stated that itâs company policy to give checks for cash purchases, especially if itâs a $2k purchase.â Strike 3 for helzberg, itâs a $200 necklace...I underStand if it was a large purchase but itâs $200. Long story short either pay with a card or just donât shop here at all. The communication is horrible and the treatment of customers is beyond poor.
They definitely lost a...
Read moreI really don't have the time to write reviews, but this needed to be shared. I brought my wedding ring into Helzberg Diamonds at Quakerbridge Mall to have a couple of missing stones replaced. I was given a receipt and sent on my way. A while later, I got the call that the ring was ready for pickup.
When I arrived, as part of the normal process, they handed me a box with the âringâ inside. Something told me to open it before leavingâand thank God I did. The ring inside wasnât mine at all. Different cut, different size, different quality. When I asked about my ring, no one could give me any answers. It was a Sunday, and apparently the repair technician was off. I left incredibly upset and disappointed.
Later, someone texted me a picture of what appeared to be my ring in the repair guyâs possession. Still, not being able to physically verify it, I was left uneasy. Weeks went by. A whole month passed, and I never got a call about picking up my actual ring. I called corporate. I called the store. I got excuse after excuseâthe repair tech was sick, in the hospital, etc. By that point, Iâd lost all faith that Iâd ever get my ring back.
Finally, when the ring was returned, I came in and spoke with Rabia. Let me tell youâshe was the only saving grace in this whole experience. She listened, understood my frustration, and validated my concerns. I swore Iâd never shop at Helzberg again, but Rabia was calm, compassionate, and went above and beyond to ease my tensions. She even took my other rings to have them refurbished so they matched my wedding ring again. That kind of service and kindness meant a lot.
Rabia gets 5 stars. Unfortunately, the rest of this experienceâfrom corporate to store managementâwas an absolute nightmare. No one offered any compensation or gesture for the extreme inconvenience and emotional stress this put me through. I'm a long time customer, who has spent thousands in this store. That part still leaves a bitter taste.
Do better, Helzberg. And give Rabia a raiseâsheâs the only reason this review isnât a 1-star.
