While picking up parts I pre-purchased the day before ($100), I also needed some coolant ($17). Asked employee if it was the correct color and they answered, and walked away. Only customer in the store at the time, waited as long as I could, and ended up placing the coolant back on the shelf and left. Received a call a hour later from police following up on a claim that I “stole” the coolant. I immediately said “can’t you check the cameras” to which he replied there is no footage and they actually have more inventory than their system shows, and that he was required to follow up with their report even though it seemed highly unlikely.
Long time customer, my name and info have been in their system since around 2007, and have made thousands of purchases at their different locations over the years.. I will no longer use them for my personal repairs, I would not recommend them to anyone needing any auto parts, and will never step foot inside any of their stores again. It’s one thing to give terrible customer service, but it really crosses the line when you blame your incompetence on your paying customers.

I asked one counterperson to tell me the pressure of a fuel pump, He walked away from me and never came back! So I had to find him and when I did, he said he didn't know the pressure of the pump and told me that it didn't make any difference, "A fuel pump is a fuel pump"! (Hamilton, Ohio.) I ordered 2 struts. I was told they would be there on thursday. I went in to pick them up and the counterperson had given me the price for one not both. I told them I would come back on Friday, (THE NEXT DAY). I went to get them, When I arrived I was told by another counter person ( a female), that they "didn't have them in stock and would have to order them". I explained that I had already ordered them, that they were behind the counter yesterday and that I was there to pick them up. She flips the computer monitor around at me and yells "I SAID WE DON'T HAVE ANY!!!" I was ready to climb across the counter at her!!!
