I really like supporting local businesses but I will not bring my kids here anymore. For the last two years my kids have brought their water bottles in, I buy waters at the concession stand and then fill them. They are little so it’s easier for them to drink from their water bottles. Today we go to the movies, no one was there ( I honestly thought they might be closed). We go in, I buy the tickets and the two ladies working tell me my kids can’t have their water bottles. They tell me it’s their rule, no outside food or drink. I explain they are empty, I’m buying water and going to put the water in them. I didnt even have a purse, have never brought outside food or drink there. They told me no, I had To leave them in the car. The rule also says no cellphones but I’m positive everyone brings there cell phones to the movies. I didn’t appreciate the rudeness and don’t feel like giving my business to them over something so stupid. Why can’t my young kids have their water bottles if I’m buying the water from them just filling them. Even the airports let you bring your own bottles and fill them at water stations. I don't Allow my kids to drink soda and other horrible beverages. Just water. Just don’t understand the logic. It was just empty water bottles. My family spends more the $50 every time we go so I rather Get better service if I’m spending that much money. We will go to Florence where the food and snacks and seats are...
Read moreMy husband, daughter, and I went to see a movie on a Friday night. Our daughter sat between us and fidgeted the whole movie. When it was over, I asked her what was the problem and she told us her seat had been broken or loose so every time she moved in the slightest way the entire thing would shift or shake & that it wasn't her. We were still in the theater so my husband ran down to our seats and confirmed that the seat seemed to be missing bolts and would shift at the lightest touch. I let the manager know and he graciously gave each of us a free movie pass, a great customer service move. That would have been awesome but when we tried to use them recently, the cashier at the window wouldn't accept them and said they looked "homemade". They were just cardstock obviously made with a printer and laminated. One was a different size than the others but these are what we were given! The worst thing was that it was a tight week money wise and we didn't have the money for tickets since their prices have gone as high as bigger cities. So it turned two movie nights to...
Read moreCrockett Cinema has always been a nice place to catch a flick. The building and prices never seem to fail. BUT, the teenagers at the front seem to let down more often than not. Last night, I spent 50 dollars for my family to watch the new Indiana Jones movie. The theatre wasn't full but there were quite a few guests. My family found the only row with enough seats for us. There was a group of teenagers behind us that put their boots on the top of our seats with their feet in our faces. 3 or 4 boys did this and had no care. We left 30 mins into the movie because of them and their ruckus. I told asked one of the teenagers for their names so I could talk to the front desk. But the front desk workers were all friends with the teenagers and laughed at our situation.
I left embarrassed. Not only did I lose 50 dollars, but my family was humiliated by the actions of some local teenagers. Sadly this will probably be the last time we ever visit...
