I've heard amazing reviews about this place, so I was hopeful when we went in. The atmosphere is great, trendy, and overall really cute. The food wasnt bad. The service is really what I had a problem with. Once seated, we wait about 15 minutes before our server notices us. We get our drinks and we let him know we needed a few minutes more to look at the menu. Our server is nowhere to be found for another 20 minutes. While we are ordering, he's not paying any attention to us and acting like he's wasting our time taking our order. Overall, he made us feel like we were a problem from the moment we were seated. We did not see our server again for the rest of our time in the restaurant. Another employee ran us our ticket. I'm unsure of the standard this establishment has set for their staff, but it felt as though our server needed more training. Or perhaps completely re-trained altogether. I hope that sort of treatment isn't what all customers get...

Their chips are overdone, from my personal experience in working at a Mexican restaurant for a year. The price is about 2-3 dollars too high for the quality of food, and the waiter was terrible. They only came to take our drink order, then for the food, then gave us the check. Never once checked back up on us. Also I usually get sweet tea to determine if the restaurant is of good quality and the tea was watered down so badly I wouldn't even call it tea. The food was sub par to the price but I won't...

Even though the portions were a generous size, the rice was under cooked with a grainy hard center. I asked the waiter if the sopa´pias were the puffy kind, not just a flour tortilla fried and covered in cinnamon and sugar. He said they were puffy. Then when he remembered to deliver them, there was no puff, just coated fried flour tortilla. My husband and I were disappointed with this experience. Puente Grande could be a 5 star place so easily, it is in the details. Maybe...
