This was the first time my husband and I have been here. It was about 8, so the deli was already closed, but my husband was craving some bbq ribs and we knew that Country Mart made them. We walked over to the deli and there were 3 packages of ribs by the register. We asked the employee who was there if those were still for sale, and he said they were and that he would even give us $2 off of each one. We thought that was a good deal so we agreed, and he carried them over to the Checkout line for us. While we were walking, he and my husband were talking, and he said that he had been planning to take them home with him to eat that night, and I said, well we can just take 2 if you want one. He said no, he'll just make himself some more the next day. We said, Ok, if you're sure? He said yes, and then also told us about the Friday special, that the bbq ribs are 9.99 then. He then told us that he was going to give us the Friday special as well as the extra $2 off. Not only was that amazing guest service, David in the deli is truly one of the nicest people I've met. For first time customers, that's definitely the way to get us to come back. And! The ribs were so good! Falling off the bone! When you need some good ribs for dinner, go to Country Mart on 67th St & Cache. You...
Read moreIt's an older building and it shows. You have the feeling walking in that it's age prevents it from ever looking totally clean. It's also a bit cluttered. But there is a good variety, and the staff, (some of whom were a bit surly) know their products and locations. I didn't wait long to check out, and a big bonus for me was that they had a bin of donation bags as you walked in the front door. On the bin was a sign that said that the local food bank was low on resources after the Thanksgiving holidays, and needed donations. In the bin were paper grocery bags with items the food bank needs, and for $6 you can purchase the bag, which the store will take at the checkout and then they deliver it all to the food bank. Charity can be difficult when you're working and have a family, but most people can afford $6 with their grocery shopping, and for those of us who are time poor, this is a...
Read moreIâm sorry, I just realized I had accidentally pressed the one star a while ago n didnât change it. My first experience was overwhelmingly great! Everything is clean, neat and fresh. It reminded me of the Vonâs which is a Safeway store bk in Cali where I came from. Prices were also equivalent to there. They use customer service cards and rewards too just like Cali. Wasnât crazy about that but oh well. Not as cheap as Walmart but the produce at this market is to die for! Also found ayunan coffee which I canât seem to find anywhere else in Lawton. Priced reasonably. Their product are all tagged price wise. My only wish is that they carried a more variety of âHispanicâ foods not just âMexicanâ foods. Definitely will go there to buy my veggies for making my sofrito! The person who checked us out...
