This review should not reflect too badly on the stylist. I’m fairly happy with my haircut, thought the stylist did take a phone call in the middle of my cut and checked a text a bit later. I specifically asked for a junior because they are cheaper. I’m using a gift card my mom gave me for Mother’s Day because otherwise I don’t have the money to get my hair cut anywhere but maybe a hair school. The website says $38 for a junior designer. My stylist was and is still under that tab on the website. The person who booked me confirmed that price and level for this stylist. When I checked out today I was charged $53 because the stylist is a “master level cutter but junior colorist and the person who scheduled must not have known.” I fee tricked. I saw reviews warning of this before I came which is why I specified. I don’t have a complicated cut. I’m not picky. But now an extra $15 of my gift card is gone and I’m crying in the parking lot. It makes me glad I didn’t schedule the color yet because how am I to believe their prices when I can’t believe their website and front desk staff? I’ll be back to finish out my gift card probably, but I can’t see coming back once that is done. And I hesitated to leave the review while I still have money to spend with them, but I’m so upset right now. I am editing to add that I would believe the stylist is a junior colorist because they couldn’t be bothered to finish helping the front desk person give me a quote on how much color in my hair would be. I know I will need extra products because I have long thick hair, the purpose in getting a quote was to get some sort of accurate estimate for how many extra pole and therefore extra cost...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alright, Hands down best team culture at Grassroots Salon point blank period! Fabulous energy, knowledgeable stylist, helpful admin & receptionists. They're basically beauty scientists & chemists! Only at THIS Salon could you feel comfortable returning to the same place & stylist within 24 hours if you're not happy with what you asked for. They went above and beyond to take care of me! My sisters and I come here many times for cuts. I've never done color with Grassroots before so I was already nervous. Initially I saw Brittany for a cut and highlights. You'll see similar photos posted from another review. It's me, the same client but I couldn't edit or enter a new review using that account. It was only a 3⭐ bc it was done well just not at all the color or cut style I asked for. There was a misunderstanding with expectations. Learning experience. Stefhanie called me immediately the next morning and worked out a game plan with Amy & Brittany to adjust hair color to my desires free of charge & they NAILED IT! Taylur stepped in to help bc that's the kinda Salon this is; TEAM BASED. Teamwork makes the dream work. Any photos you see with reddish orange coppery tones are what I didn't want. Absolute amazing stylist!! Larynn is beyond a master at her trade.I have used her for years and have never been disappointed. What you have in Larynn is a truly talented professional that understands her clients end results and quickly produces those results for them. She is a highly sought after stylist at this salon so book ahead. Despite her typically packed schedule, she does her best work you in for those last minute emergencies. I don’t know what I would do without Larynn. I know that after all the stylists I tried in northern Utah over the years, none have ever left me with a genuine feeling of caring about the health and care of my hair. She is a gem and I will follow her wherever she goes if she ever left grassroots salon.

———————- Dec 2023 New service for Botox and juvederm by a nurse named Mandy. Overly priced for mediocre service. Not pleased with result and even brought it up to be told I needed more treatment after only a week. Got the impression that this nurse was more interested in milking my wallet than providing quality treatments. Truly disappointing and will not return for this type of service.
