5 Star Upholstery — Local services in League City

This was the worst experience EVER! Mike (the owner) can not tell the difference between the RIGHT side and the WRONG side of fabric. I took a very sentimental rocker to him and my own fabric. I ordered the fabric direct from the manufacturer, it was still in the packaging. He says he has done upholstery for for over 30 years, I question that. The fabric was very high end, over $1,000 for 5 yards. When I picked up the rocker he had upholstered it with the WRONG side of the fabric. The correct side was cream with a lime green wave and had a very nice hand and finish. He proceeded to tell me that they had every employee in the shop trying to figure out which side was right and they all agree the back (ugly green, dull, no finish) was the right side. He said it was not his fault! He never called me to verify anything. He refused to pay for new fabric and only told me he would not charge me for the second upholstery. He proceeded to tell me that he gave me a really good deal. Really??? The webbing was still broke, he was supposed to fix it, we discovered this when we unloaded it. I have no faith in him and his morals are unacceptable for a small business owner. He did a Deacons's bench for me as well. The fabric was a leopard chenille. He used a white zipper (really?), that was exposed. The snaps he used were what you would use on a boat, not a piece of furniture. The back cushion was very poor in construction. Look elsewhere!!! BEWARE!!! He always wants to be paid in full in advance, DO NOT do that. I am only giving one star because giving NO star is...

PAST AND PRESENT CUSTOMERS BE AWARE!!!! Took my truck to get Leather done on all seats. On invoice he wrote down the leather code. Went home looked it up it was leather. Took truck in paid 2k got the work done. Took it home looked at the new invoice noticed he crossed out the leather code put new code. Looked up the code was for vinyl!!! Never did I get call from him saying he was switching it on me. So I called manufacture they said my findings were right he ripped me off and switched material to keep more profit!!! I confronted him and he lied through his teeth till I got the manufacture on phone and another dealer to verify he was lying as he stood INFRONT me. CHECK WHAT HE SOLD YOU MAKE SURE YOU WERE NOT SCAMMED AND DONT DUE BUINESS....

Brought my car for headliner exchange. I brought my car there even so the price was 30% more expensive than the other shops around. After I picked up the car, the color of the new headliner didn't match the original. The material felt cheap and there are a lot of wrinkles, glue stains and nonuniform edges. The sun visors were not attached correctly and few plastic parts were cracked or broken. They've tried to mask it up by gluing together w/o telling me. After I complained about it, they fixed the sun visors, hopefully not by gluing them with JB Weld!!! Avoid this shop if you want a 5-star results! What you will get is a 2-star work for the price...
