No more guessing which empanada is which. They're labeled to avoid confusion! The cheeseburger filling was literally just ground beef, cheese, and spices. It tasted okay, but the texture was off-putting. The spinach artichoke was fantastic. Lots of greens, rich with cheese, excellent flavor. The key lime was fantastic - tart, sweet, and perfect. Everything was perfectly hot and crunchy. Still kinda runs like a food truck, though. Drinks are bottles and cans, and the whole table's order came out on a single pan with zero accompanying napkins or plates. You can fetch your own Styrofoam plate from a side table, if you like. Staff was friendly, kind, and helpful. We went on the first night it was open, so I have to imagine some of the service issues will iron out over time. Probably better for pick-up than dining in...

Update Sept 2025: we’ve returned to the Empanada Bar countless times since my first review! I love their rotating specials yet still enjoy their og’s like the original chicken and corn + cheese. Please keep the elote on the menu! I wish they were still open early morning because I pass by this place on my commute and liked it when I was able to stop by for a breakfast order before 8. Yall come see this place!
Original Review: We enjoyed our first visit to The Empanada Bar. The restaurant is super clean, bright, and cozy with indoor and outdoor seating.
The empanadas were really good. Flavorful, flaky crust, and plenty of filling. We also enjoyed the local Hunstville beer!

WOW! What an novel concept for League City! When I saw The Empanada Bar was opening, I was excited to try it. My hopes were high for a tasty, savory pastry delight, and these folks have delivered!
We tried four flavors: Original Beef, The Cuban, Cheeseburger, and The Original Chicken. All were amazing! They beef and chicken were very good, but could be a bit spicier. The Cuban was delicious! The Cheeseburger was very tasty, and very unique, but not what I would crave. I definitely think kids would like it, if they are OK with mustard.
