In the past 2 and a half months I have really tried to make this property work. But after 5 attempts I just just give up. The property is beautiful and in a great location but the property manager Sharon ( I think is her name) and the many different people Ive spoken to⦠always someone different because the the high turnover rate is awful. Between making appointments to see apartments and then when I get there canāt see what was scheduled because itās not available even though we asked before arriving, or being told we donāt show an appointment for you, or them trying to talk you into coming in for an appointment based on whatās convenient for them then for you. Better yet with my last visit I called 15 minutes asking to see a 2 AND a 3 bedroom ( potentially 2 separate leases here) and when we get there no appointment, info not even in the system and me being asked if I called the right place???? Because there are other Chloeās. This excuse was the first. I asked what is the last 4 digits of your number The property manager replied 1700( not the # I called) but I proceeded to call back the number Iāve called several times before and guess what it rang right to where I was just questioned if I had called the right place. Still couldnāt explain why my info was not in the system!! And was given the excuse that the girl I spoke to just started and wouldnāt have access to system To be able to tell me if a 3 bedroom was available to show. Needless to say we left yet again DISAPPOINTED! Iām saving the best for last. Our previous visit to the last one mentioned we were given keys to go see an apartment because as always we never get what we talk about over the phone and only 1 appointment was made when 2 different people wanted to a 2/3 bedroom. I made a big fuss and the girl gave us the key to go check it out because she had another appointment waiting .She said it was the building over and the unit number was on the keys. We couldnāt find it. So we just started walking looking for what was in the key. We get to the unit opened it and was immediately met by āsmokeā a tv playing and a cat sitting on the stairs. I was shocked to say the least. My daughter and I couldnāt believe they would have model keys so close to actual residents keys that you can actually get them mixed up. This alone should have had me throw in the towel. We went back to the office explained the situation and was told that the unit was vacant and she had shown it earlier today. I asked her do your models have cats? She looked at the key and said I have you the wrong keys and thank goodness they were not at home. My daughter and I both said they were at home. Had it not been for the stairs that lead up to the apartment this could have really ended being a bad situation for me and my daughter walking into someone home without their permission. My daughter and I talked about this all night and was so upset and concern that we went back to the apartment the next day to tell the tenant what happened so they would know how irresponsible the leasing office is and that was the reason their locked door was unlocked. Because once we figured out we in someoneās actual home we just shut the door and left. Unfortunately the tenant didnāt answer ⦠probably because they didnāt know us; but hopefully they will see this review. As I typed this I canāt believe my self why I came back because this is truly not a place where I would want to live. If I could give ZERO...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMe and my husband lived here for 14 months in 2023/2024. Overall it's a solid place and I would recommend it to everyone. To be clear it's not perfect. We wanted to extend our contract for another year but ultimately decided to move away from Leander.
Let me start with what's good about these apartments:
The sparkle - To me this community is beautiful. Landscape, the design of the buildings and interior design of the lobby always look very elegant, maintained and clean. Layouts - Apartment's are organized really well. Space is not "wasted" and you can use every inch of the apartment. Location - It's really close to HEB and train station that takes you directly to Austin downtown. I also really enjoyed walking next to the Creek that's located at the edge of the property. Our dog spent some of her happiest moments there. People - We really liked talking to Hannah, she was always sweet and professional. In general everyone that works at the front desk is nice and helpful.
Things that we didn't like about it:
No gates - All problems with this place stem from the fact that there are no gates. Essentially, anyone can come to the pool and bring 20 members of their family. You can tell when someone isn't a resident because of the way that they treat the pool. I saw some collage kids spit at it for fun. Or they leave trash everywhere when they leave. There was a girl that would kick people every night out at 10pm but we witness her having to argue with drunk/difficult guests and it's really not fun. Also, people that don't live here regularly park at spots that are reserved for residents. There were many occasions when I couldn't find a parking spot as a resident, especially on the weekend. And finally, I saw jeeps and truck , loaded with trash that would dump all of it in our dumpsters and leave. It was obvious that they were bringing that trash from somewhere else, but again, there are no gates to stop them. Dumpsters were very often overloaded and the stench is pretty overwhelming. Smoke alarm - This is a minor thing but there was no hood above the stove in the kitchen. Instead there's a fan that "directs" smoke towards the grills on the ceiling. This isn't the most efficient way to remove the smoke from the kitchen and our smoke alarms would regularly go off which is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYeah when youāre living there they act like sweet hearts, and act like everything will be fine, but what they wonāt tell you is yes they give you parking per car, yes there are reserved parking you can pay a little extra for BUT when people start moving in and for some reason you have 6 people moving into a 2 bedroom and all 6 of them have cars, obviously theres less spots if you donāt have a reserved spot. In the beginning we had no issue finding spots, but after people kept moving out and in, parking was difficult to find. One day I couldnāt find parking at ALL. Spoke to them about it and they basically said either pay extra for a spot or F off cause thatās not their problem. I had to deal with it on my own. Another thing is you will not be seeing your security deposit back. Whether you put down 250 or 500, they donāt tell you about the cleaning fee charge added. And now apparently we OWE them MORE money because thereās wear and tear on the stove. We cleaned everything spotless and honestly everything that was said in the beginning before we moved in was not at all what happened towards the end. Just be careful. Honestly really disappointed. Oh ps, for some reason people donāt like cleaning up after their dogs when they take them for walks at the Chloe, so be prepared to walk in...
