My family visited this restaurant by looking at menu and as it's new and near to my home. Menu sounds like Indian food. We orded chicken butter masala , Naan and hyderbadi goar dum biryani.
Butter chicken was good not excellent. It was different I felt like meat would have be cooked with but of more salt would made its more better. It was not spicy so good for kids.
Naan was excelled bo complaints
Hyderbadi dum biryani this is a type of biryani from southern part of India and ur has unique tast to that . But here what we got was disaster , it was one of the worst biryani I ever are in US. I don't know who the audience for this restaurant. If this restaurant is trying to attract more non Indiands who doesn't know the taste of biryani may be they are ok . But for Indians this is a disaster. The biryani didn't have any masala I felt like plain rice striied with oil and fried onion. Rice was little dry and no gravy or masala in biryani so sucks. I cook really best than this hyderbadi dum biryani.
Why I mentioned who is the audience for this restaurant is because of how the ambience is set. If that is true , than they have to better job in bringing more non Indian, it's ok if idea is cater larger population of this country nothing wrong else will close in a year. But don't mention that biryani as Hyderbadi dum biryani name...
Read moreThe interior of Veranda is amazing, and they did a fantastic job transforming the old Mooney’s into a trendy Indian restaurant with a great-looking bar. Unfortunately, the service and food still need a lot of work. Staff seemed unorganized? dishes were carried around to multiple tables before landing in the right spot, and it took a long time to order and get our food. For a family of five, they only brought out one piece of papadum, which felt odd.
The bar looked nice but wasn’t well presented. We had to guess at options rather than getting a clear menu, and slow service meant we skipped extra rounds. The food itself was just okay, and compared to nearby spots like Hype Bar and Grill or Lava Lounge, it didn’t measure up.
Overall, I’d give Veranda a 7/10. The space and concept are great, but the service and food need improvement if they want to compete...
Read moreAbsolutely wonderful experience! Love the decor, the food was amazing, the staff were all friendly, the owner was very attentive and friendly. My family is so excited to have this wonderful Indian restaurant close to home. We had the chopped samosas as an appetizer, and 2 different lamb dishes with rice. Oh my goodness, it was so delicious. We had the trifle pudding, family recipe per the owner, and it was so good my 2 young kids were losing their minds. 😂 My 4y old said the pudding was "SO FRESH", ha. Oh! Their bread appetizers were so good too. My kids loved the cheese bread, more than quesadillas. The garlic bread likewise was so good. We will definitely be coming back and encourage others to check this place out as well.
Picture of the pudding cause gold...
