It's Walmart in a small rural town. It doesn't have any real competition so there is no need to improve. While 90% of employees are friendly there are a few that serve only as oxygen breathers. They gossip and giggle and ignore the customer waiting for help in the electronics section, but it's Walmart and finding competent employees is not easy in this market. The other 90% are very willingly helpful and will probably move on to more challenging careers once they graduate. There are also some career emoyees that are also very good at helping and are customer service oriented. The management knows there is no competition so always understaff the registers. Why bother, right? Gas at $5 means people won't drive to Whitestown for better service for just an item or 2. This place needs to very much improve on keeping the place stocked better within reason, some of the workers need to clean up on their hygiene before coming to work to handle food, clothing is always lacking in good choices, and being stocked enough in quantities and sizes, as well as for the shoes.
