I absolutely LOVE everything at Pioneer Party in Lehi!! I get all my fun birthday balloon bouquets there and my boss even has me get her balloon bouquets for her friends' birthdays! The daisies are beyond cute for girls and grown women and the fish for little boys is so adorable!!! The girls who make the balloons always make it such a fun experience, which I appreciate it.
I also love how there's a cute little packaged gift for almost every occasion--including missionaries and parents of missionaries! They do all the creative part for you so you don't have to think through a little saying to go along with the candy or soda pop or whatever else is in the gift pack.
And who can help but go down memory lane when you see all the nostalgic candy on their shelves??
I was able to meet one of the owners the other day (I got the impression it was a husband and wife who owned the store) and I told her how much I loved her store. She really does care to make it feel like a fun extension of a community. And even if you don't live in the area, it's SO worth the trip. Read moreI purchased some gift bags tonight, and after paying in cash and requesting a receipt, the teenage employee stated, "but, you paid in cash." I was already aware of the form of my payment, and stated that I would need a receipt in order to be reimbursed. She told me that you do not give receipts to customers who pay with cash, and asked the other teenager in the store about cash receipts, and this employee also stated that she doesn't know how to print a receipt for paying in cash and doesn't think that they can. They then decided that they should ask a third employee, but as I had to drop a child at her 7:00 appointment, I did not have time to wait for the verdict of your third employee, and had to make the choice to take a hit on any possible reimbursement. I am sure I am not the only cash-paying customer, nor the only one who needs a receipt in order to be reimbursed for purchases. Can you tell me how cash-paying customers go about returning purchased items without a being given a receipt? Read moreThis store was so fun to shop around in. I found a few adorable items I wanted to buy for my sister who was having a bad day. Unfortunatly, I stood in front of the cash register for more than 10 minutes with no help. The girls were running around helping every one except myself. I had my very busy baby with me who wanted to either tear everything off the shelves or scream in my arms so I couldn't stay any longer. I had to leave the items for my sister in a basket on the floor and leave. I was so upset because these girls walked past me and the register many times in a hurry but never once did any of them make eye contact with me or ask 'have you been helped' or 'do you need to check out', nothing. I couldn't grab any of their attention and wanted to scream with my baby! I couldn't believe the lack of customer service. Maybe I was just the one customer they missed for some reason, but I'll never shop there again... which is sad because they did have cute stuff. But great (even just good, heck even bad but at least something!) customer service is more important to me than anything they have...
