BCR Music & Sound — Local services in Lemoyne

I highly recommend this store. I rarely write reviews, but I think BCR deserves one.

First, the customer service is by far some of the best I've ever experienced. I went in to pick up an order for my uncle to deliver to him on Sunday. They even gave him a shipping box, in case he has to ship it back for any reason. This is really classy.

Also, I have been looking around various guitar stores for a new guitar after selling a couple guitars over lockdown. When I even stated that I wasn't planning on buying anything today without looking at all my options, they still treated me like a customer. I've experienced the complete opposite at the big name guitar stores where I said I wasn't going to buy anything and then they left me completely ignored. These guys are highly knowledgeable and want every player to find their own perfect guitar. They even said that they would call me when they get a certain guitar in just incase I want to check it out.

All three people I spoke with today on 8/11/22 were some of the nicest, most knowledgeable, people I have ever met working in a guitar store. It seems that the local guitar stores/small businesses always have the best service. I put these guys right up there with my local shop "Guitars on Main" in mount joy as being my favorite shops to visit.

My dad passed away and left me a guitar that needed love and care. I didn’t have much left to remember him by, so I had asked if they would save the strings for me. Cody and Kurt took fantastic care of the guitar, to include trying to get the bend out of the front of it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t going to be fixed without extensive rework, so they had a recommendation to put different strings on it that would help with playing. The strings were a great idea, best I’ve ever played!! They cleaned up the guitar - it looks beautiful 🤩 These guys truly care about the instruments they work on and play. They updated me with a phone call as needed and provided timelines, so I knew what to expect. As a musician for over 35 years, I highly recommend BCR as your go to music store. I see that some people have complained about how long it takes them to get work done on their guitars. Be assured, it might take awhile, but it will be correct. Actually, he fixed my stepson's botched re-wiring of his Paul Reed Smith guitar over Christmas day once. Very often, his schedule is pre-empted by big-name rock stars who need their repairs done right now for shows in the near future. So, if you want the best, you might have to wait. Dropped your Les Paul and cracked the neck? Well, he is the man to see. Somebody else may not make it so perfect that you can't even tell.
