Destination XL is an excellent store. No matter where you go, the selection is great and the quality is impeccable. However, the workers at the Nicholasville Rd. store are incredibly rude. If you ask them for help, they will use a harsh tone and say something like, "Yeah, we don't have that. We don't know what you're talking about." When my mother was getting my father some pants to try on, one of the ladies RIPPED the article out of her hands and said, "This isn't what he wants. Sorry." She went back to find a different pair of pants and came back with literally the SAME pair. To quote my mother on this incident: "I think I know what the man wants. You could've at least chosen a different pair of pants." Another time, when my father was looking for a specific tie he saw in the Louisville store, the worker had to look it up on the computer because we couldn't find it. My father, of course, was super excited about the tie. He mentioned he thought it was classy and professional. However, when the worker found it online, she literally CRINGED (in front of my father, mind you) and said, "Oh, this... Yeah, it's okay, I guess." Yes, she was wincing. WINCING. About a PRODUCT she was supposed to be SELLING. There was visible disgust across her face. To quote my father, the one shopping at DXL, on this fantastic experience: "It's hard enough to buy plus-size clothes... But when you have someone making the experience uncomfortable and tense- Well, it just makes you feel worse." So, yes. DXL in itself is an incredible business, but if you decide to visit the one on Nicholasville Rd., BEWARE. The older blonde woman in glasses will probably...
Read moreI needed some tee shirts for the summer I like them tall so I have to go to this place or order online because most stores do not carry polo or if they do they don't stock the 2xlt's. We walked in and as always not a huge selection of my size because it is the smallest thing they carry. I found three and went to the counter for check out. Now get in mind these polo tee shirts average around $60 so I was getting ready to spend close to $200 on three items after being in the store for less than 5 minutes with no help so a good deal for the store. They had no one at the sales counter but there was a little green rectangular bell at the counter so I rang it. From across the sales floor a hateful voice screams "Unless you made a donation to St Jude leave our bell alone". So I said, no one is here to check me out and I seen this bell so I thought I was suppose to. She screams again and says "there are only two of us here and we are busy with other people so you will just have to wait until we are finished with them. At this time the man comes from the back of the store to the register and I think he is going to check me out but he picks up a pen and walks away with his back to us so he didn't have to physically acknowledge us. I just threw the three shirts on the floor and left. I'm glad I did because I went to Ralph Lauren website and bought 5 and spent less than $140 so thanks for saving me money and I will never walk in you...
Read moreMy mother bought me a shirt from this store for Christmas 2018. I tried to bring the shirt back and exchange the shirt for a bigger size and they told me the shirt had been worn. How can they determine that? The shirt was too short so of course I didn’t wear the shirt. I tried it on and took it off and put the shirt in my car and I didn’t fold the shirt so it got wrinkled in my car so they determined it was worn after I told the manager I didn’t wear something that didn’t fit to begin with. This place is a joke. Do not shop here. Make sure you try it on before anyone...
