Blue Sushi Sake Grill — Restaurant in Lexington

Prices went up, and business has slowed way down due to that.. I went back today on Valentines Day and ordered the beef rock dish and our waitress repeated it back to me but didn't put it in because I asked the cost of it.. My mouth was watering waiting on my food... so my daughters food came out and I'm just sitting there waiting and waiting and no food.. I mind you I order a $4 side of rice to go with my beef because it comes with nothing but a few rice noodles for decoration.. I finally asked her was my beef done because they put the raw beef on hot rocks and bring it straight out to you because the rocks cooks it immediately.. She said wait just a second with a Lil attitude in her voice, I'll go check.. She came back and said I didn't put it in because u was concerned about the price.. I said but I told u thats what I want and since it's Valentines Day I'm going splurge a lil.. I said & you agreed and said absolutely... but didn't put the order in. and her words was because u was concerned about the price. I said ma'am I told you I wanted to add a order of rice to go with my beef. Still nothing.. i actually told her to take the rice back because i wanted my beef and rice at the same time and i wanted my rice hot and the rice she brought out to me had been sitting there for a while. She okay and said I'll get you some fresh rice and brought it straight out again with no beef.. so im waiting and that rice gets cold as well.. I told the manager and he didn't seem to care at all. She brings my check out & threw it down and ran off so fast my 12yr old daughter said wow mommy why is she treating us like this.. I told the manager i wasn't paying for the rice because i never ate it because i was waiting on my beef and never got it... I really feel discriminated against.. smh I need for these privilege & racist waitresses to get it together because it really hurts... I can ask the price of what ever I want to but u still have a job to do.. I wasn't trying to get anything for free at all.. I have been there many of times & by far this was the worst feeling and experience 😪.....anyways that has nothing to do with the people who prepare the food.. the sushi was delicious and my daughter enjoyed her binto...

Let me just say customer service and food when I’ve dined in has always been good. So obviously it’s my go to for take out. I’m not sure I’ll do take out again. They have a 4% packaging fee, which is fine, when you get takeout you are doing it for convenience. And quite honestly everyone has fees these days. Whatever. So you would think that I could trust they got my whole order in the bag. Well I just got back from having to drive all the way back to get a roll that was forgotten. When we called the person on the phone said “do you still want it?” No apologies were given, or offers to talk to the manager to see about making amends. Ok so maybe in person? Nope. I was taken to the manager and she hands me my missing roll (also one of the expensive ones) and I said is that it? She says yes, that should be all of it. So sorry about that. I was disappointed but just walked away. I wasn’t going to make a scene. But no comps or any kind of offers (they are a chain restaurant so I find it hard to believe that they didn’t have comp cards) Not to mention it’s not exactly a cheap restaurant so you also think the service would be up a notch. I’ve worked customer service and dealt with mishaps. I worked in a restaurant, and dealt with server and kitchen mishaps. Even if I could only get half off for customers. Absolutely loved this place!! I, luckily, came on a Sunday for my first visit, and it's Happy Hour all day on Sunday!! That's so awesome. I've never seen another restaurant do that. All rolls and appetizers were reduced price.

Ok, first the decor is awesome. There's Godzillas everywhere. I loved it!

Second, the appetizers were awesome!! $6.25 is a bit much for edemame, but hey, it was Happy Hour! So we got some. Yum. The Brussel sprouts were AMAZING. Got them for like $4. Worth every penny.

I then got a Thai Hippie Roll. The Thai flavors were spot on. I'm not vegan, but I ordered this vegan roll because it has a ton of my favorite ingredients. Excellent. I also got a Sushi Blue Roll because I felt like I should get the roll named after the restaurant. It was delicious.

I got two rolls, two appetizers, and a drink for $20. It was a good night in a great place.

Also, the service was awesome!! My waitress also worked the bar, but I was never neglected. She was kind, intelligent, and incredibly thoughtful with her suggestions. Couldn't ask for better service. She also split the appetizers on our bill between me and my friend. Just super smart.

I will definitely be going back, and I'll be hitting it hard on Sundays and...
