The Summit is way over priced and over hyped. Not for everyone's budget. The stores/restaurants are always turning over probably due to high leases. Parking is a nightmare. The covered parking deck near Texas de Brazil is always taken up by the Henry residents, so it is slim pickings. The back parking lot is always got spots but not always close to where you want to go. The traffic in there is a nightmare. At the entrance Incoming traffic does not stop, but no one seems to get the memo, surprised there has not been a bad wreck. There are one ways that people drive the wrong way down, so as a pedestrian you better watch out. People run the stop signs constantly and the parallel parking - it is bad idea because the majority of the population cannot seem to figure out how to do it. Probably will not frequent the Summit after living in the back for 2 years I have seen enough. Nothing much there that I cannot live without. The security there is a joke. No one should feel safe just because they are lurking in their little truck or golf cart. Crime happens here too, don't let them fool you, they like to keep it hidden and preserve their high end...
Read moreI enjoy the New York style pizza at Grimaldi’s at Fritz Farm. My order is always the same: lunch special that includes a giant slice of pizza and a small chopped salad. Coal fired oven pizzas are the best way to cook a thin crust.pie. I guess a small tub of garlic butter would put my slice over the top, but I never think to order it.
One of the few pizza restaurants in Lexington on that offers a salt shaker full of garlic powder to sprinkle on your pie. I know it’s not for everybody, but it works for me.
I’m often baffled that there is not a heavy lunch crowd when I dine here. The $10.99 deal for a giant slice of cheese or pepperoni pizza, chopped or Caesar salad, and a drink is really a great deal on weekdays. It’s tasty and perhaps curbs my consumption to one slice. The cheese pizza does have the correct ratio of sauce to cheese. I can taste both with each bite.
This is really a good pizza joint. The NYC vibe is fun, and even include great background music to enhance the experience. I try to dine here at least once or...
Read moreIf you go to late on a Sunday night to J Alexander's, the staff does not want to take care of you, they are ready to go home! I and my date literally had the worst food I have ever eaten in Lexington, my Prime Rib and mash potatoes were so cold almost like they had plated up out of the cooler" I'm not kidding" the au jus had congealed grease floating on top. my dates Steak Maui was over cooked and cold as well, service was not even close to par. I even called Corporate Head quarters and got a VM so I left the message about my experience and left my name and number and a email address and never got a call or email back. Bottom line don't go late, its clear the staff and management does not care about you at all! I will never return there EVER! It won't even get one star from me. Oh I least have to give it one star or won't let me post. It does not deserve...
