Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Lexington

*Should have learned my lesson 6 years ago but ordered again only to have part of the order missing and lukewarm food. Delivered by Door Dash in an uninsulated bag, and I didn’t order through Door Dash. I guess that’s a payback I won’t forget this time! I thought they had gotten better.

There should be negative stars for this restaurant. Not only has Papa John's gone downhill at a blinding pace this particular store epitomizes the concept of "The worst of the worst." The other reviews are accurate about getting orders wrong, no one cares when you call, the wait times are abominable, I live less than a mile and delivery times exceed 1 hour because they deliver to the address farthest out first, and the website doesn't tell you that until the order is placed and you have to call them only to get a rude response for the cancellation. Despite the recurring and ongoing problems with this location I have tried the occasional "deal." Last and final one was in October 2017 when I got a pan pizza overcooked and dry (they used to be reasonably palatable, not anymore) and some cheddar bread that was not even half cooked. You could see the raw dough, and it could have been seen when taking it out of the oven and pan it would have been in. It was half raw. The chicken wings were okay and because of that when I complained about uncooked food and overcooked food the only response from the manager was to contact the store if I had any concerns. No refund, no credit, no concern, no nothing. $40 for chicken wings. It's statistically proven that if you are satisfied with something that you will generally tell two to three people. Won't order anywhere that uses door dash for delivery. Customer service is non existent. Waited over an hour just to cancel the order because they were going to send another dasher out 😂. No thanks. Hope they go under. You can see by the other reviews if you're lucky enough to get your food. It will be cold or mangled. I wasn't lucky enough to get my food and sat waiting for no reason. I do not order from any of the delivery apps. I order pizza because I DONT want them people touching my food. I expect a hired delivery driver. Not some weirdo some app has decided can touch my food. Nope. I want someone who passed an in person interview. A background check doesn't catch a lot of problematic people. I expect company standards with how my food is handled and will never order delivery again. If I have to pick it up myself it won't be chain pizza. Dustin the manager was not friendly, I had been trying to use the app to order for 45 mins so I came in the store for assistance or to see if I could get some help or maybe just order in store he said he could not help or take my order and looked at me like a fool and walked away , leaving me to do it all on my own :( . If you Hate your job get a new one . Very sad customer service. Also he never washed his hands from touching one area to another and food register and back . It really stinks I have to leave this cruddy review since I use this place alot and am a regular customer, I would be happy to hopefully be able to give a better review next time if possible .
