Hobby Lobby — Local services in Lexington

On May 9 my wife and 5 year old son came to your store to finish some Mother's Day shopping and to order a custom framing mat. As they checked out the cashier approached my son and began to accuse him of stealing a candy bar.,At that time my wife stepped in and told the cashier that the empty wrapper on the floor didn't not belong to them. The cashier called both my wife and son a lair and a thief. My wife with and son began to cry over the whole situation and left with out thier purchase. Once in the parking lot she called into the store and talked with the acting manager. He told her he would review the tapes and get back with them, once he review them he called and told my wife that my son didn't take the candy bar. This is a disgrace to have a employee approach a child and not a adult and then call both of them a lair. I WILL NEVER SHOP...

The stock, cleanliness and layout of the store is amazing. They always have what I need. The prices are great. It’s easy to find things and everything stays impeccable (unlike some other craft stores I’ve been to, haha)

However my feelings still stay mostly neutral. I rarely have a good customer service experience at this store - they always get irritated when I want to use the 40% off coupon and huff about it, especially when the item is $5ish or less. (40% off is still significant, haha) I’ve learned only to checkout with young cashiers because the older employees I’ve interacted with have been impatient, rude and argumentative over simple questions about clarification on sale categories.

At the end of the day, the savings and stock outweigh the grumpy employees so I keep...

Parking lot was easy, not crowded, lots of spaces. The store itself resembles the many Hobby Lobby's. Only complaint is that their Christian section has been reduced down to a handful of items just before you get to check-out. Very sad. If they even had so much as an 4 x 8 section down one of the isles, of a few bible options, biblical book marks, bible highlighters, head coverings, veggie tales for kids etc, they would definitely have a target audience for purchases. The biblical based items they have currently are so few, they likely don't sell very well because they're purchasing the wrong items. Hopefully...
