Pig City Books — Local services in Lexington

Went to Pig City Books for the first time today and was not disappointed! Walking up, the outside is already inviting with it's cute decor and hot pink door. It is hidden behind the old courthouse but there are signs you can see from the square pointing you in the right direction. The ladies that work there are oozing with southern hospitality and you can tell they take pride in their books. They have a little something for all ages groups, fiction and non-fiction. If you have little ones, this small town local business is a must. They have such a cute and fun section for the kiddos. I also loved the selection of local and state books. This is hands down my favorite bookstore ! The store has a welcoming vibe that makes me want to spend hours in their comfy chairs reading ! Right as you walk in you’ll find a room full of new releases and popular genres , but don’t stop there ! Upon further exploration you’ll find that PCB has an amazing room full of YA books and another adorable children’s book room ! If by some chance you can’t find what you’re looking for at PCB, the lovely and incredibly helpful staff will find it for you. If they don’t have it, they’ll order it ! These ladies are passionate about books and community , ask them for a suggestion if you’re unsure …i guarantee they’ll find something you’ll LOVE! Cute bookstore. I might have had a off day today but I really didn't have anything jump out that caught my eye. Bought only one book, usually it's four or five. One star off because the costs of books just keeps climbing. They are a little overpriced in my opinion. Even so I will be back. I love my Kindle but sometimes you just need to hold a book and turn the pages right?

So much better than big box stores. I did not know of the book festival. It is now on my calendar next year. I will be back next month for sure....
