Carl Meyers — Local services in Lexington

Carl Meyers is a Lexington institution. The store in it’s original form has served Lexington and the horse world for long over 50 years. Originally, Meyers custom made and sold riding apparel. Every year as a child I came to Lexington with my parents to get new riding boots, helmets, breeches, riding coats etc. The downtown store also sold beautiful clothes for men and women. My father got all his clothes at Meyers. It was in a grand building with several floors of merchandise. Carl Meyers has maintained it’s distinguished reputation in Lexington and beyond for almost a century. Upon Carl Meyer’s death, Sherry, bought the store. It is difficult to put into words what this store and Sherry, Haley, Tracey and the gang mean to me. They are my family. I LOVE shopping at Carl’s. Aside from having the most exquisite clothes ever the people helping you are so knowledgeable and bend over backwards to accommodate. It is a very relaxed setting with no pressure…just great advice about your clothes and great inventory. I can ALWAYS find something at Carl’s for any occasion from the most important formal to every day golf shirt. There isn’t another place in the world like Carl’s. It is an original and my go to spot. I can’t recommend Carls highly enough. You are in for a treat and an experience…and will come away looking and feeling better...

The clothing Carl's provides is classic, comfortable and without fail always gets me compliments. The staff at Carl's focuses on the needs of the client, quality clothing and impeccable fit. Carl's has watched me grow and provided clothing for every moment and step of the way. I have worn Carl Meyer's clothing to class, work, job interviews, cocktail parties and casual weekend events, and will continue to do so as long as they are in business.
