FAVORITE COFFEE SHOP IN LEXINGTON! The owners Tim and Ellie go out of their way to make customers feel like family and the food and drinks are DELICIOUS. They have done an exceptional job of reopening to the public during the pandemic and taking the utmost precautions to keep customers safe - They offer curbside service, prompt carry-out orders, and you can even walk up and place your order in a safe outdoor space where I feel very comfortable.

The food is amazing -- the sandwiches are thick with fresh ingredients and all the sides and desserts are homemade. They have great coffee drinks and can customize everything to your liking. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options and something for everyone.

Highly recommend the chicken salad as they use freshly-grown herbs from their own garden and make it themselves. The Crangerine sandwich is another favorite that you can't find anywhere else.

They have also put their entire art gallery online so it is accessible during the pandemic, so they can keep supporting local artists during this time while keeping us safe!

Amazing locally-owned, family friendly spot that is a great addition to this really cool...

They finally opened the inside back up! Pretty kitschy place, not a fan of the decor or how cramped it is inside. All the knickknacks seem like a total waste of space when you could have more seating. Space is kinda wasted here, in fact; I'm a big person and I immediately got trapped by other patrons, very awkward and unfortunate. Worth going for the food though, their prices and quality are quite good! Been here for sandwiches and drinks multiple times. The prices are perfect to split a sammy as a snack with a friend or partner, and the taste is fantastic! I've yet to encounter a menu item I haven't enjoyed. This place is also in great proximity to other local shops and a pretty nice park, as well as maybe a 15min walk to downtown. Definitely worth a visit here if you want a quick bite, but sadly not the place to have a hangout or long conversation as it's...

The ABSOLUTE BEST coffee/sandwich shop in Lexington! Not to mention the awesome art gallery they have supporting local artists and other small businesses. We have been going here for years and Tim and Ellie are some of the nicest people I've ever met! The food is amazing and the service goes above and beyond what is needed. I challenge you to get a crangerine turkey club with an iced mocha and not have a life changing experience.

Through the pandemic they have taken every precaution needed to ensure customer safety as well as their own, while providing the same level of service and quality we have become accustomed to.

The only negative thing I can say about them is that they aren't able to share their incredible store and kindness with more people. They have become a pillar of our community and I hope they stay for...

My boyfriend and I just moved in down the street from High On Art and Coffee. It is a very quaint, cute place, with an attractive interior, and outdoor seating. The customer service is amazing, everyone who works here is so sweet and considerate. The food is sooooo good, definitely with the try. We personally love the smoothies! The sandwiches are amazing, and you have the freedom to add or take away whatever you need. I bought the avo-gobble sandwich and added all base veggies (I Believe, onion, tomato, spinach). He bought a breakfast sandwich, bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel, and a crangerie turkey club on a croissant. All of the food was excellent!! Drinks wise we got a strawberry, banana, peanut butter smoothie, and a chai. The chai is VERY sweet, a dessert!

My client referred me to this place & boy was he right about the food! I ordered the the club club on sourdough w/ provolone added spinach & avocado. Honey mustard & garlic mayo...hold the onions plz. Honestly it was way more than I could handle & tasted even better than it looks! I ordered the meaty chili but I'll have to save it for tomorrow since I'm stuffed! Friendly staff clean polite and fast service. So glad I was told about this hidden little mom & pop shop. Their menu is quite large & has anything you can think of especially with coffees sandwiches & treats plus so much more. You really should try this spot! You won't be disappointed!

Kind and easy going staff, tasty drip coffee, and a quiet place to chill and study or draw, exactly the kind of place I was looking for. The building seems to be an old house that has been turned into a restaurant on the first floor, and that is the amount of room you should expect to seat here. It feels like a home still and I like that. For food I tried the raspberry turkey club croissant, It was divine, and it didn't last long as I ate it very quickly, like a dog. I honestly can't wait to try something else from this establishment. I will definitely be coming back. Three cheers for High On Art & Coffee!
