The Butcher's Block — Local services in Lexington

Upon entering, I was immediately greeted with warm smiles and friendly conversation. I was amazed by how reasonably priced everything was. All of the meat appeared to be very appetizing, with excellent options available.

There were many North Carolina made products as well, such as cheeses and rubs. It was good to see that the owner apparently cares about supporting other privately-owned businesses and providing a taste of what North Carolina has to offer.

One of the most noteworthy parts of the experience (besides the pig made out of sausage) was the decor. There were numerous paintings and figurines of cows, chickens, and pigs throughout the shop.

I picked up mild sausage for breakfast. I was born and raised in Davidson and know a lot of the familiar spots but had never been here. I still come this way from living in a southern county every so often for various reasons. I was interested in trying some of the meats they have. It was apparent it was popular as most of it was gone in the display. The inside was very nice and a country type feeling which was nice. Parking was adequate as it was on the side of the street. I went during the day lunchtime as it wouldn't be as busy near the end of the day most likely. My husband and I travel full-time and stopped at the butcher block Yesterday. As soon as we walked in the owner was so welcoming, explained all about his Selection he had in the store, including meats, and seafood. He asked me if I wanted to try an amazing oyster from Canada. Of course, I said yes I love oysters as my husband does not. He shuck the oyster and brought it over to me and it was, amazing. We had a great conversation with him. He has so much knowledge about his products. We bought some ribeyes, and he also offered us a taste of the rum cake, which we bought also.
