In June 2019, we spent several hours at this location upgrading phones and switching a plan from ATT to Verizon. The Verizon staff member informed us that for each line we added, we would receive a $150 Visa giftcard in the mail within 3 months. We followed up several weeks later to confirm that all the information was correct, only to learn that certain online forms needed to have been filled out in order to receive the rebates. This information was not provided at the time of phone activation at all (3 adult family members were present and can confirm this). The Verizon staff member who sold us the phones said he would submit the forms for us. Come August, when no gift cards had been received, we spoke again to the same employee and were told that the issue would be raised to the district manager. Another phone call in December promised us that the issue had been resolved and gift cards would be received in 3 months time. Which of course never happened! After complaining to corporate Verizon, we were credited 1/2 the amount owed to us. While the location staff are polite, I feel that this retailer and Verizon failed to resolve our issue completely. They neglected to provide us with important information initially and following-up was so much hassle, requiring numerous phone calls over the course...
Read moreSo far I have dealt with 3 staff at the Lexington Verizon store in order to information gather and purchase a new cell phone. I have in general had very good experiences at this location and have purchased previous cell phones from them. I got excellent and patient advice from Devin on my first visit last week, but needed to think about it. I returned the next day to the helpful assistance by David with the purchase and set up of my new Samsung. I was able to leave the phone for him to do this work and pick it up later. Most everything transferred over, but I still needed to update the many apps at home which I find annoying, but I do not think the store can do this for a customer. That was Wednesday. By Friday there were all kinds of operational issues and on Saturday morning I was back at the store with Nick in charge. He had to remove and reinstall everything. I went home to redo the apps for the 2nd time. It is now Monday. There are still issues and I need to return to the store once again. We will see what happens today. The reason I spend a little extra on the phone is for service. I have gotten service, but going 4 times to start my new phone is excessive, especially during the pandemic. I will update when these...
Read moreDonnie at this Lexington location is excellent. We visited Lexington directly from visiting another nearby Verizon store. The other Verizon store was ok, but we had looked on the internet for the phone my daughter wanted. The first place we went to said that our choice (the iPhone SE) was old, not fast, they tried to sell us a more expensive phone (an iPhone6 or an iPhone7), and they said they'd have to order it to get it into their store, all of which was believable. However, when we went to the Lexington Verizon, and told Donnie the same information (i.e., happy with current phone, an old iPhone5c, but the screen cracked), the first phone to which he directed us was the one we thought was best, he said it just came out less than a year ago, was actually as powerful as a more expensive phone (just a smaller screen and thicker case for the iPhone SE rather compared to an iPhone6), and he had all the colors in stock. The other Verizon stores might be ok, but make sure to visit Donnie M. in Lexington before deciding. He's very knowledgeable and won't try to upsell you. And, he gave us $20 off when buying the tempered glass along with a case for the iPhone. If you can't find street parking, there's a parking lot...
